Why you think I need to hear club anthems?

There are artists I listen to that will NEVER crack top 40. Thats fine.

But the problem is that I still want to hear their music.

J Cole has some interesting songs...but nothing I want to hear again.

I've got nothing wrong with "conscious" artists...but those artists make music I want to hear again.

Well I haven't heard the album so I can't comment on it, but songs from Turly Yours like Kenny Lofton, Crunch Time, 3 Wishes, Rise Above are songs that made me want to listen again....

I feel where you coming from though, but my thing is I think J. Cole has a good grasp on who his fanbase is and I rather him to do the music he does rather than trying to make songs to trying to appease mainstream fans.

I've never been one to say J. Cole is the best new MC out myself, but I enjoy his music for the most part. I hear people sayinfg he is boring but it just like when I moved to Texas and everybody out here thought Nas was boring too.

Not saying he is Nas, but I just used to hear similar stuff about him.

But we can agree to disagree cause I feel the same way about Big Sean, I heard his album once kept one song and deleted it and its very rare for me to hear a song of his that I want to here again later so...

Cole went gold before Kendrick dropped an album...and had a bigger fanbase at one point...I still don't see how that proves Cole didn't give Kendrick the cosign or whatever..not sayin if it helped or hurt him..but ur statement had no point...also...a person can get cosigned and be more succesful than the person who cosigned them...look at Curren$y...he cosigned Wiz...Krit...Big Sean etc and they all aside from Krit are more succesful than him mainstream wise..
