The Miami Heat have signed forward Jarvis Varnado and free agent center Mickell Gladness.
Varnado was a second-round draft choice (41st overall) by the Heat in the 2010 NBA Draft after concluding his collegiate career at Mississippi State as the NCAAs all-time leading shot-blocker. He has spent the past two seasons playing overseas in Italy and Israel.
Gladness, who went undrafted out of Alabama A&M in 2008, made his NBA debut with the HEAT on Dec. 25, 2011 and split last season between Miami and Golden State. He appeared in 26 games (seven starts) during the 2011-12 season and averaged 2.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.77 blocks and 9.7 minutes while shooting 42.4 percent from the floor. Gladness appeared in eight games with Miami, averaging 0.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 3.5 minutes before being released on Feb. 7.
Bosh Adding Weight To Play Center
Sep 09, 2012 11:24 AM EDT
Chris Bosh is adding six pounds of muscle to prepare for the rigors of playing a full season at center.
Bosh’s move to center would allow Erik Spoelstra to play LeBron James more at power forward, giving the Heat mismatch advantages on both ends of the floor.
Bosh was listed at 235 pounds last season, his second with the Heat.

Wade Working On Regaining Shooting Touch
Sep 08, 2012 10:41 PM EDT
Dwyane Wade struggled with his jumper last season, but is working with a shooting coach.
"I have one of the best mid-range shots in the league," he said. "But, obviously, when you have different injuries, it makes you change a little bit. So it's just about getting back to that comfort of it and finding out where you are now.
"My midrange game is very important to me. The biggest thing is coming out of my pull-up without losing the ball and just making sure it comes through my hand the right way. When it comes to my shot exactly, I don't have a bad shot. There's other reasons why I come up short a lot. So it's just trying to work the kinks out."

I don't know how Wade can be getting all this practice when all I've seen on Twitter and Instagram is him either traveling around the world or promoting that fukkin book
I consider myself a Wade stan, he's been my favorite player since he came out of Marquette and I realize he had surgery and what not over the offseason but he tweeted weeks ago he was clear to go full speed. Bron and Durant are reportedly in Week 2 of their own "Hell Week" both played in the Olympics and have been eating, sleeping, breathing basketball since that final whistle back in June. All while this nikka is currently in New York for fashion week and eating tea and crumpets with the Good Morning America crew
