They had a brief moment when the Warriors hype train was full steam ahead, plenty of people were pushing for Steph to be the new face of basketball and Under Armour to replace Nike. Then them ugly ass shoes came out and got turned into internet jokes, Cavs beat the Warriors, Bron emasculated Steph, etc. Warrior hype train recovered by signing KD, but he's Nike too so that recovery didn't assist UA, actually damaged em a little further to be honest.

So their stock was already falling before, then the dummy made the Trump comments and made it worse.

But the Trump comments are retarded. He said nothing wrong. Everything else you mentioned is spot-on though. The price has been dropping long before he opened his mouth about anything.

Why do people keep saying this? It was not an upset. It was a comeback. Pats were favored pre-game. Not an upset. A completely manufactured one as well.
You clearly didn't watch the game or are you saying the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history in the 4th QTR isn't an upset. :jbhmm:

You're damn right I'm caping, I'm caping for logic and objectivity.

I'm sick of these fake morally upright fakkits who get outraged about anything. Yourself included. Let me know when you can actually make a substantive point and I'll gladly respond.
It's a publicly traded company. You might not care about PC culture or consider it fake morality. But these are consumers and alienating your customer base is never a good strategy for a CEO.

Again, when you want to use gambling terminology i.e. upset, it means something precise.

An upset is when an underdog wins the game. It's that simple.

Pats were favored anywhere between 3-5 points. Not even close to an upset. Actually, the exact result implied by the numbers happened. A pats win by 6 points.

I threw $55 on the Pats ML at halftime. Comebacks like this happen all the time when a pre-game favorite gets down big and you see a big correction in the second half

The Pats weren't favored at Halftime or on the 4th qtr line. :youmadcam:

Again, read my post. Those illiterate 10 year olds and democrats may care, but the fact is their stock was dropping way before he opened his mouth in the first place. Once the Warriors lost the Finals it was the beginning of the end for their basketball brand imo. Then Durants handlers pushed him to sign with the Warriors.

Everything is a stage. shyt was a calculated business move from Nike.

Nike effectively cornered the market on the only two teams with a chance to win a championship. They bet on both sides of the game.

Are you suggesting his comments about Trump had no negative impact on UA's value? :usure:

Who gives a fukk. The CEO is entitled to his opinion. To say the CEO be favorable to Trump is the sole factor as to why they're not on the up-and-up at the same level they were is just nonsense. Fact is Nike put a hit out on Under Armour after 2014 with the Durant move to capitalize on the popularity of the Warriors upsurge and they had a nice little run, and then the price corrected.

I still called UA breaking the $100 mark when I invested back then around 70-something so if people didn't sell back then, fukk'em.

Most of the consumers buying these sneakers are so politically unaware in the first place.

"Millennials and Generation Z want brands and retailers to be transparent about their stands on social issues" :mjlol: at this fukking statement, and of course a shyt leftist rag like CNBC put this out there.

So Phil Knight and his globalist brand who used third-worlders who are few steps above slaves to make their stuff makes them better because they kept their mouth shut politically?

Spare me this sanctimonious fakkitry and give me breathable athletic shirts that are cheap and comfortable
He's entitled to his opinion just as much as people are entitled to spend their money else where

@USSInsiders Also, miss me with that bullshyt of calling everything you personally disagree with "Fake". :youmadcam:

Oh, that's funny. I get it, you're referencing "Fake News" which was actually a talking point started by CNN and WashPo to discredit alternative and non-mainstream media that ended up getting used against them, but I'll let you cook.

Anyway, I will not stop using it because it's completely true. If you serious let the supposed moral compass of a company dictate your purchases, you need to get over yourself.

All of these billionaires are scum and they're scum in the same pond. Don't be fooled because some of the scum is bluish and some of it is reddish. It's all a trick to give the public the perception of moral parity.

Public relations is all about manipulating emotions and perspective.

Crack open a book by Eddie Bernays, study some public relations history. You might learn something.

I think its cool that millenials are becoming more politically active and socially conscious.

They lack sound ideology and consistency in their principles tho.
But the racial divide is still there.
A majority of white millennials voted for Trump. They also voted for Romney over Obama... They're not that different from their parents.
In fact, Trump won white voters of all age groups:beli:

It actually started as a result of the fake news mills that intentionally created and perpetrated fake news stories as real in order to rile of the conservative base, attack liberals, and sway and electorate. But that's irrelevant really, if you disagreed with it then don't embrace it now.

Now to the topic at hand, do you agree that his comments have had a negative affect on his brand?

Do you think that Curry's comments on UA's CEO had a negative affect on the brand?
