This defensive strategy the warriors have employed in these playoffs is dumb as fukk. They did the same thing with Ja. They ain’t sharpshooters but they also aren’t draymond. You leave em wide open and in rhythm they’re gonna hit the 3.
exactly

these are professional ball players.

Wiggins only playing 34 minutes is nuts, especially when Tatum played 41.
35 minutes*.

:dwillhuh:

And it's not like they won because of Tatum's efforts. Wiggins came to check back into the game partway through the 4th, but because of that long sequence of play that went on for over two minutes, there wasn't a break for him to check back in. He would've ended up playing 37 minutes otherwise.
that's another thing. Kerr gotta play the starters more. It's the finals. What are we saving minutes for?
Warriors starters played more than the Celtics'. The starters still need a break, especially if they're going to have to defend every single player (Celtics have more of luxury leaving Dray and Looney open).

Warriors might need to put Payton on Jaylen Brown whenever he's healthy. They need someone else to combat his strength.

GP will be important to everything, which is funny to say, cause a contender shouldn't need to count on a cat who's been in the G-League for almost his entire career. The main thing for him is he's going to need to be Poole's bodyguard. Wherever Poole goes, he goes. They should be attached at the hip. It's about the only way they can mitigate what Poole gives up on defense. It'll give him a go-man on offense too.

Draymond gotta be better

A bunch of key mistakes by Draymond/Iggy/Poole to end that 3rd that likely would have broke Boston if they were able to extend that lead to 18-20 going into the 4th. If Steph also knocked down that 3 when he snatched JB's ankles that would have pushed the lead to 18 and blew the roof off. Alot of missed opportunities in that 3rd to put the Celtics away smh.

Have a feeling Poole is gonna be put on a shorter leash going forward. Rather see Moody stand in the corner and wait for a open three than watch Poole get his pockets picked at the worst moment.
Nobody else but Steph can create their own shot (again, this is a flaw I've talked about all season). Poole is needed if they're any hope of winning this series. He just needs to play better.
