Russians have always been considered white and as far as I know, never looked down on.
Naw look at a Russian map now and over history and you’ll see my point.

Yes looked as white of course. But there’s always been a heirarchy and that’s what is misinterpreted by hoteps when they say “
Italians weren’t white”. ppl in America have trouble identifying ethnic whites. Whiteness in America has historically meant WASP. That’s why you get recent white immigrants who will say “insert nation” if you call them white.
Go to Miami and call a white Brazilian or “white” and they will correct you. Frenchmen will do the same.
No different than ppl of African descent stating Nigerian, Haitian etc when you call them black as that has historically been for Black Americans.
White adoption or the rewriting of Russians as the white standard started after WW2 and Nazi Germany getting neutered by the world and sanctions. Now “Russia” who showed bravery during the war and is standing up to the
immigrant and minority ridden western powers became the example of white dominance in the white supremacist world. That’s their line of thinking. So Russians, Hungarians etc have become
pure whites or an example of white dominance where as Anglo Saxon (UK, Australia, Canada, US, New Zealand) have become examples of white decline. That doesn’t mean the white ppl in all those countries aren’t aligning themselves with this train of thought which is why there is such a growing alt right movement in every single one of them.
