The same could be said for Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, and eventually 2 Chainz. People listen to their music for free they don't have a strong fanbase willing to pay for their music. Big K.R.I.T. is still building a fanbase. Nobody expected him to sell like crazy in this type of climate.

being boring and all this other shyt is besides the point. like i said in the OP, whenever an artist is unanimously loved on this site. he underperforms. when he's universally hated, his or her alum exceeds your retarded expectations.

around the time Sean dropped, he wasn't really on the lips of any SOHH poster, but now he's completely 100% HATED on this site. that lets me know that Sean is gonna do NUMBERS. I will bet my life that Sean does numbers.

I think thats because the people Krit and them appeal to are personality types that are stuck to a computer. I bet if you did a personality profile on people who get on message boards and blogs, the people would be very similar. Look at all the threads made here and on sohh about being introverts....90% of the members all came in and cosigned.

Where as Big Sean and them appeal to people who are out, more social, ect. Those people probably would have a similar personality profile also.

With that being said. Buying habits will be different. Internet people will 9/10 be resourceful enough to get the album for free. Some might buy or want to buy but...even me, I got Section 80 for free. I wanted to pay Kendrick cause I liked it but it would have been more work to actually pay vs just download the album

The extroverts are more into shopping and being out and about, so they probably go and pick it up when the see it on the shelves. So appealing to the internet is like appealing to the "hood". You get love but no financial support...
