Nah, overseas is what made this movie successful. It damn near flopped in America.

I just copped the 3D bluray.. can't wait until I get some time to watch it.
It still kills me that we didn't get Guillermo Del Toro for At the mountains of madness and no Guillermo Del toro for The hobbit. at least they used his set designs
It could still happen. Nobody wants to spend $200 mill on a horror movie with a really dark ending though. I was hoping the success of "Pacific Rim" would make studios reconsider their position on "At The Mountains of Madness", but so far no dice.
I would rather the movie never get made at all, instead of them handing it off to someone else and dumbing it down. If they did it right it has the potential to be the GOAT horror movie.

Exactly. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Far better than all the summer blockbusters released this year.
Finally Saw this joint On-Demand. Great movie. Best non-comic book action movie I've seen in like 10 years lol. And better than a lot of comic book movies too...

Just bought in on blu ray just for the loud explosions and and action sequences. I can't wait to pop this and turn the speakers up.
Please buy the 3D version if you can. Easily the best 3D effects since Avatar.
