DC has "succeeded" (I use that somewhat loosely) with worse films. I call bullshyt. Cacs cry anytime they aren't the sole focus or look great on anything.

The Rock had a lot of control over the project. You can't just pin it on DC and call it a day. 'The Penguin' is the most critically acclaimed show on TV right now. That's also DC.

At the end of the day, it does come down to the creators. The Rock is no Matt Reeves.

I'm talking about it not being nearly as bad as a lot of critics and others said, which I always suspected was because it was a brown man and brown citizens whooping the shyt out cac colonizers. That's not his fault. By DC standrds, it was B-tier with potential. Certainly not perfect, but again, for DC, not bad at all.

He lowkey gotta cut the roids out as at his size, it's too ridiculous to take him playing a role as a regular person and that's not just an issue with him alone.

These actors look like they all are training for some marvel role and because of how brolic they are....it makes it hard to take them seriously playing a non-superhero character.

Though I still feel he got a somewhat raw deal on Black Adam, he's gotta stop making cheesy shyt for the checks and put some work in on serious craft, or link up with a good, motivated writer/director on some Coogler/Jordan time.

Problem Rock has is that he wants his fingers in all the pies and wants his character to go over too.

I might be in the minority but I prefer early rock movies (Walking Tall, The Rundown, Scorpion King) over the blockbuster-action type of films. The FF movies were cool….Fast was good too. The movies he did with Kevin Hart was alright. Everything else is mid-garbage.

Bill Simmons and Van Lathan just said the same thing on their podcast that the early movies and Pain and Gain were better (someone else mentioned that here). I see people saying that he should lose weight but the problem is that's what got him popular again because his popularity started to die down in the late 2000s, early 2010s before Fast Five.

He needs to let the lazy popcorn flicks go, it’s not the 80’s that shyt doesn’t work anymore. No matter how much you look the part, one man can’t carry a weak script. Him and Kevin hart are going for quantity over quality and people are starting to catch up.

He needs to focus on tv shows or transition out of the big action movie roles and just do something comedic or something
