It may be a dumb question but why should Norv Turner be a hot commodity for OC

I hear just about everyone on here with a OC opening wanting Norv to come to town. Even more so than people like Kyle Shanahan and Hue Jackson. Can someone feel me in to when Norv displayed this greatness? :yeshrug:

Norv Turner was the one who helped make the 90's Cowboys offense.

He's been living off that since then, and is probably best suited as an OC

its more than that, Jim Harbaugh gets alot of credit for turning around alex smith but in 2006, smith was showing signs of putting it all together under norv turner, the problem is that turner bolted at a time when most of the OC's had already been hired. Smith regressed again until 2011

as an OC he clearly knows what hes doing

Oh so that 74 qb rating Alex had in 2006 is another reason he's a guru. ok :usure:

You cant just look at stats and call it a day, ask any 49er fan or anyone who was watching the west in 2006, alex's second half that year showed a huge improvement under turner and kept him in an offense that took advantage of his limited skillset. Him leaving the 49ers honestly probably cost mike nolan his job

Bro that's cool and all but it's 2013 now and a good half a season with a bad qb in 2006 isn't warranted for much praise. Now what Harbaugh did wit Smith is praise worthy.

having 3 hall of famers and maybe the greatest o-line ever didn't hurt

I would think nikkas would move past 1992 but naw they won't. We have some real offense guru's in 2012 like Harbaugh and Payton but Norv Turner is that dude huh lol.

I dont see how he keeps getting jobs. My only guess is he's got dirt on a lot of the owners in the league, thats the only thing that makes sense to me :yeshrug:

Because the media, the people on here, and most front offices lack originality.

I heard people say Lovie should replace Rivera in Carolina and was like :dwillhuh::mindblown:

I respect Norv for what he did on the Cowboys in the 90s, but everything he has touched since then has turned to dust.

That's why I made this thread because some posters on here speak of dude like he is Sean Payton status. Like a lot of these dudes think their offense would be amazing if Norv comes in.
