You don't get it, you just don't get it. How is Anthony Davis DPoY? With Hibbert on the court Indiana only allows 93 points per 100 possessions by far the best in the league he is the main reason why they are so good defensively. He stops dribble drive penetration, blocks shots, protects the weakside, defends the post at an elite level.

He's not Mutombo or Ben Wallace but he's a great defensive player.

Mutumbo faced an elite crop of bigs. BW went up undersized against decent bigs and held his own. Roy got cooked by Dwight Howard last time they played and Now Cuz. Bynum would probably cook him too if he was healthy.
