Apart from your sorry ass
Exactly why I cant stand Pac stans. Sensitive ass nikkas. Theres no hate in this thread smh
Sure. But im sayin that it definitely didnt make it easier for him being a popular rapper tho. You making
movies, platinum records and all that makes it much easier to become a lick because u dont know who
to trust really (or so i can imagine).
Of course, having those issues make navigating money and fame, things that neurotypical people have trouble handling even harder.
Specifically for boys who grew up raised with single mothers. Mixing testosterone with being forced to adopt your emotional tendencies from a woman can make for a dangerous mix, It's why you got a lot of young men in prison or just out there not giving a fukk, flying off the handle with the force to really do damage to someone or themselves.
True he would but just cause psychiatrists diagnose you with something doesn't mean it's always true
Better example for this thread would be Kurt Cobain since unlike Pac 70% of cacs were not fukking with him.. But he ain't black so I guess it doesn't fit the narrative.. Still many other black celebrities you can choose from besides Tupac.. We know what caused his suicidal thoughts and we know what the fix would've been.. He did not have suicidal tendencies
Exactly. But i still dont know if he had mental health issues tho or if he
just knew they were after him.
I grew up the same way. No siblings, no father, no cousins or w/e and i grew up in a hood (not in the states tho). And ive
realized some of my issues. Im very paranoid myself (of people). And ive dealt with
anxiety and depression as well.
I can just imagine if i was famous and all.
But with 2pac i dont sense it. Could be wrong of course.
I am older now and take mental health issues in our community seriously. I don't dismiss it. However, as a kid listening to Tupac I use to think his later lyrics depicting suicidal and mental health problems were "art" or "deep" or "gangster."
Now I'm lost and I'm weary, so many tears
I'm suicidal, so don't stand near me
My every move is a calculated step, to bring me closer
to embrace an early death, now there's nothin left
There was no mercy on the streets, I couldn't rest
I'm barely standin, bout to go to pieces, screamin peace
All his lyrics and antics make sense now. He was no martyr or Nostradmus about his own demise. It's more likely that that's what he was seeking all along. He was just too coward/guilty to actually kill himself.

Being black in America is enough to get you some form of PTSD, let alone growing up having direct experience with the panthers, an organization that has been terrorized by the government. You add that to his experiences as he came into his own, being homeless, fatherless, getting shot, threats on his life, the pressure of being looked at as a leader, fame, money and some very interesting, tumultuous relationships, one with Jada that I have an entirely new perspective on.
He'd be diagnosed with all kinds of shyt in this day and age, doesn't mean it's an excuse but it puts his behavior in proper context, the good and the bad. Which is another beautiful thing about the theater of everything that went down because when you take a step back, undiagnosed mental health in the black community is a real issue. We got to witness a live action Shakespearean tragedy.

They invent new diseases and disorders every year, that's how the game is played.
"I smoke a blunt to take the pain out and if I wasn't high I'd probably try to blow my brains out"
Pac saved my life by talking about his suicidal tendencies. Just because you don't pull the trigger on yourself doesn't mean you aren't suicidal. You can manifest suicidal tendencies by taking unnecessary risk to get someone to do it for you.
"They" been after him his whole life, there is a running theme of impending doom in the 2pac story. Again, being black in and of itself is enough to get you ptsd in this country. Not just from our life experiences in a system of white supremacy but from the genes passed on to us that carry the fear of horrific shyt black folk have faced.
On top of that, knowledge that the government is keeping tabs on you and that people, police and street nikkas alike are actively looking to murder you is enough to give you a mental health issue. Let alone just growing up in the crack era with no real father figure. Pac was the embodiment of the aftermath of the civil rights movement.
Let me back that up cause you're right, you don't have to pull the trigger to be suicidalThey invent new diseases and disorders every year, that's how the game is played.

I think we do Pac a disservice by blaming everyone else and absolving him of any agency. Yeah there were jealous bytch niccas, yeah there was mental health issues brought on by, amongst other things, historical factors that led to certain actions and behavior as mentioned by SunZoo (props by the way). But at the end of the day he made his bed.Let me back that up cause you're right, you don't have to pull the trigger to be suicidal
And you can write about suicide without being suicidal. To avoid either extreme you already know he wasn't going to kill himself so that's where it stops for him doing more than thinking about "If I did this then... All I gotta do is..." That doesn't mean mental illness at all
And you know who caused it, said in the video. Jealous ass bytch nikkas that wanted him gone.. It ain't some big mystery where we wonder what was going on with him and why..
No need for a psychiatrist here. He was about fed up with nikkas, hoes and the music/white legal system in general.
Address the motherfukkers fukking with him, not him like he was the one with the problem.. Is all I'm sayin
