It just hit me that Tupac was suicidal with mental health issues

I am older now and take mental health issues in our community seriously. I don't dismiss it. However, as a kid listening to Tupac I use to think his later lyrics depicting suicidal and mental health problems were "art" or "deep" or "gangster."

All his lyrics and antics make sense now. He was no martyr or Nostradmus about his own demise. It's more likely that that's what he was seeking all along. He was just too coward/guilty to actually kill himself.

C’mon man don’t derail a legit thread about mental health by doing that. We have enough kids in the hood suffering with mental issues that we just dismiss. Remember “special ed” kids back when we was young? How we use to laugh at them? Tupac had legit mental health issues/demons (not special ed). It’s in his lyrics if we’re just willing to suspend this larger than life grand persona we have and just see him as a human being for a second.

Anyway I was in Harlem when Dinkins was mayor. I’m hood, just a bit educated with a decent income now.

I just find it surprising how we never discuss his obvious mental health issues. It’s something that we do in our community all the time. We point at the crack head and dismiss or thug kid who was abused as a kid and dismiss. Maybe if someone wouldn’t have dismiss Pacs obvious admission of mental health issues and sought him help he would still be alive.

Also I take the “coward” thing back. I believe it was more guilt for what that would mean for his mother and guilt about his religious beliefs which as we know considers suicide a sin.

Most people will have suicidal thoughts at some point in their lives.. He ain't entertain them bruh. He had something to live for so he didn't want to die.

And suicide is a sin just like everything else.. That "suicide is the biggest sin you're going to Hell" bullshyt ain't even in the Bible, just the typical EuroChristian trash they used to hold blacks down back in the day and still got most of yall believing

If you wanted to "help" Pac, how about giving him some money. Or eliminating the nikkas and bytches that set him up. His "issues" ain't just pop up outta his head
