It has been 6 years since HBO stopped airing boxing. I miss it dearly. HBO called some absolute BANGERS back in the day. (Vargas vs Trinidad)

Someone should have at least offered Jim Lampley a job after they ended. Or maybe he just didn't want to do it anymore if it wasn't on HBO.
Yeah, Lampley's voice, signature phrases and eloquent summary of the fight, always made it memorable and epic. The credits were even amazing with the highlights playing and the HBO boxing theme in the background.

Man, I really miss HBO boxing.

When things are centralized in the right way, like an HBO Boxing, it's overall really good for the sport.

Vargas was too young for Trinidad, but that ended up being a great fight.

It's overlooked, but that Vargas fight took a lot out of Tito man.

One of the best "roller coaster" fights of all-time.

Them low blows were complete BS though.

The absolute fukkery triad of lampley, merchant, and lederman was breathtaking. Merchant the drunk racist, lampley poppin shyt, and ledermans lying ass scorecards…
Those were the days
:mjcry:

At the end of Roy Jones-Richard Hall

Lampley: Thank god the ref finally stopped the fight!

Merchant: The referee should be pistol whipped for not stopping it sooner!
