Ghost is way more successful than Stringer. This ain't even a contest real talk :manny:
I don't know about that. He got a few laundry mats and 1 club

Lost said club being outsmarted by dude. Got jerked around by dude giving him fake numbers.

Then got 3 clubs by snitching to his wife and only by that.

String had multiple businesses, stocks, real estate, a club and was paying off state senators and shyt.

I'm not sure he was more successful
Stringer didn't want to be a street king. None of his moves were done to cut Avon out
Until he sent the nikka to jail

The funny thing is, even while they were both betraying eachother, the still tried to save one another

Avon tried to plea for Stringer's life with money

Stringer only gave Colvin enough info to get Avon on a parole violation to put him in timeout because his war was fukking the money up:skip:

Both of them were attempting to keep their word and reputation in tact for business reasons

Stringer didn't want to be a street king. None of his moves were done to cut Avon out

When String had Omar shoot brother Muzone he was cutting Avon out. He did it becauae he wanted to do thing his own way. Not Avons way. That was what the second season was mostly about with those 2. String was never loyal to anybody.

Ghost ain't a man without a country. He can do both. Hard enough for the streets, smart enough to go clean, evident after how he outsmarted Stern and how when he was ready to get out, he did the real nikka thing and smoked everyone himself :wow:
Facts!!!! My man bust his gun and get busy but at the same time he is outwitting white dudes and taking over their clubs LMAO

A tough choice.....:patrice: I would have to see Ghost's fate before making a decision. Right now, Ghost is in a rough spot, but I'm expecting him to mount a counterattack. The problem with Stringer was that the man was too smart for his own good. Shot himself in the foot big time. Made too many mistakes towards the end game. You know what would be interesting, what if Ghost was on the Wire and Stringer was on Power?:ohhh: Would their fates be the same or a bit different.

I gotta roll with stringer. ghost is a sucker for love who downgraded from his wife who is proven to ride or die for him even after he leaves her to wack ass angela who is one step away from snitching on him to further her own career.

harder than you think

i'd say stringer, but in reality he's a snake.. but what's ghost got... 1 club... some laundry joints

stringer had real estate, a few businesses spread out all over the place... a few cribs spread out... and millions being laundered... plus ran a deep crew.. and wasn't even on police radar until decades later

ghost leading by his dikk... having to kill on a weekly basis because his own mistakes the week prior.. lost the 1 club he did have.. refused to just open another so he tapdanced and sold hisself into slavery to get it back... really only has 3 people in his crew (tommy and spanish cat) but he will ride for you no matter what.. and it's never a bad thing to have an fbi prosecutor helping you through the whole thing and he was supplying all of new york... not just one side of bmore

in the end, i'll go with ghost... at least i don't have to worry about when this nikka is going to snitch on me or have me killed.. plus i would have been smart enough to take my money and leave the game with him

Ghost is a snake too, he got Kanaan sent to jail. He killed his business associated and he cheated on his wife and messed up his family.

I remember liking Stringer and I was sad when he died. I dont really like Ghost. If Darius killed him and the show became about him I wouldnt mind. :manny:

Rewatching the wire again. Stringer was a fukking idiot. Just like Avon said. Really like everyone kept telling him. From Omar to bodie to Avon.

He kept trying to run the game like a business. Soon as Stinkum got popped it was "it got personal. Let's call a truce and lay low"

Soon as Marlo came for his corners "let him have the corners. We got the best product"

Soon as joe wanted to buy out the towers "yea ill sell them"

Soon as Avon went to war with Marlo "gotta drop a dime on that nikka"

Bodie said it best. "Do the chair know this move gonna make us look like some punk bytches"

You can't be out here playing mr business man with no muscle in these streets. Muscle always wins. Marlo won in the end. Avon was winning before him and still gonna win when he gets out

Stringer was all book smarts with zero clue how reputation and fear work to stop nikkas from coming to take yours

He left his king wide open on some "maybe if I don't take any of his pieces, they'll leave mine alone" type shyt

Retarded in all aspects

you do know that in the end, Avon realized that Stringer was right about most of the shyt he was saying. he specifically says this.

him "trying to run the game like a business" is what he was supposed to be doing. he was right about falling back on the Omar thing.

Omar had been a stick up kid way before we even meet the character. its called the cost of doing business. string knew it was a bad decision to go after him whole sale like that.

as far as Marlo, again, string was right. it was 1 person. string had literally everyone else in west baltimore taking his re-ups.

he also didnt sell the towers to joe, he used it to ensure them having the best product. the product they were pushing was literal garbage before that.

like someone said above, he was trying to put avon on time out. like he told him, he was shooting dope without a fukking needle. he was bugging the fukk out. there is NO SHOT he should have been in that spot with all those guns at any time. let alone when you are clearly on parole.

lastly, it was Poot who said the line about the chair knowing if we'll look like some punk bytches.

i swear some of yall not watching the wire but just skimming through it.
