@humminbird do you think the price to get hbomax is going to go up soon?
it went up by $1 last month
I don't think we're getting any more increases until they merge Discovery and HBO Max into one service later this year.
so I guess you're good until then

streaming is only expensive if you feel you need to have access to everything all at once. there's like 1-2, maybe 3 services most people should have at all times, mine are HBO, Hulu and Netflix (subject to potential cancellation), and then just wait until shows stack up and do a one month sub to others (Apple+ let the morning show and ted lasso stack so i can binge them together, paramount+ the game and mayor of kingstown). you still come out better than paying for cable...even adding some shyt like sling or YouTube TV for sports is still cheaper than cable

as for bundles, i'm cool with the idea of a few bundled streamers where it makes sense, but things like wanting HBOMax subscribers to pay more because you bundled in some Discovery Plus bullshyt, no :camby:

I dunno why people saying people will go back to cable. Maybe older folk. Who the fukk wants to go back to waiting for a time for a show or movie to come on and watching commercials?
DVR removes all that. I like being able to just set up a season pass so I can just check my DVR and see a list of shows I keep up with and what new ones dropped. With the streaming services I forgot and it'll be a couple weeks before I remember to check back for shows. I still have all the streaming services (pay for like 2 or 3 and borrow the rest) but I could see how someone prefers cable.
