Gonna see it soon, probably sunday... been seeing mostly good reviews. Only thing I know I won’t like is sitting through 3hours of it.

First one was good but more creepy than scary imo. Entertaining throughout. If this one is better according to most then I’m all in

My girl wants to go see it with me though. I wanted to sneak off and see it myself tomorrow because she wants to wait until like sunday/monday but that run time couldn’t justify me sitting in the theater twice in one weekend:hhh:

My girl and I saw it. We both thought it was decent.

I thought the girl Jessica Chastain’s and James Mcavoy’s character brief adult romance never was squashed even though she went with Chubby.

Mike’s history flashback was brief. What was his own personal token besides being a token himself and that random bat he had?

Wish there was more jump scares and less stalling from Pennywise, felt like he was stalling from the jump.

Did that kid really die in the funhouse or was it a ploy to get James Mcavoy character by himself?

Found it refreshing that Mike didn’t die though he was severely labeled as a liar and basically a weirdo for being obsessed with IT.

Didn’t catch the whole gay secret the one comedian dude had till my girl explained and I was like :ohhh:

The friend that died at the end was interesting because he is drawn to dominate fat women, who is just like his mom who was fat and dominate. That’s why his wife was fat and dominate.

My girl also pointed out to me how Jessica Chastain was in an abusive marriage cause that’s what she’s used to from her pops the abusive relationship vibe.

I think it was interesting James Macavoy character started to stutter as soon as he came back to Derry. He was then before.

All that being said I feel like the first one is better with an 8.5 outta 10.

It did drag to me in certain spots and there was a lot of CGI that I didn’t care too much for. Plus the comedic timing throws off the “scary” which I didn’t care too much for.

I like how Pennywise plays with your fears and if you’re not scared of him you win.

8/10

Wish it was a tad bit scarier and wish his eyes had more of an effect kinda like what they did in the first film.

I do think there was an over saturation of Pennywise though which to me grew tiresome. Reminds me slightly of Sinister 2, the less Pennywise till the end woulda been better or just not seeing him truly in full form woulda been better.

Thought it was interesting how successful each one got besides Mike whose only mission was to kill Pennywise because he stayed in Derry and Mike’s younger version barely talked in this movie too.

You don’t remember the spoiler from the book? And tbh once they split the adults from the kids in part 1 it was going to be difficult to do part 2 and I give them props for figuring out a way

I read IT when I was 12 years old (over 30 years ago). I honestly did not remember that spoiler, but even if I had, I don't think reading it could have captured the sheer brutality that a film could. There was something visceral about the hate being on sceen like that. That particular scene was scarily well done.

LOVED IT!!! :blessed:

Way better than the first one.

This shyt was directed beautifully :Yasmellme:

That scene when you first see Pennywise

I wasn’t expecting that shyt :damn:

He was actually scary in this movie compared to the 1st one.

Bill Skarsgård was amazing
Had some dude that kept saying “Pause” and “A’yo” during the whole movie :mjlol:

Only negative for me was the ending was dragging. It could’ve been at least 10 minutes shorter.
Movie of the Year imo :whew:

Movie was long as fukk :damn::damn::damn:

I give it a 8/10

Only reason I take a point from it cause the one flashback when they was at the arcade bout to go in the photo booth, I peeped they had Mortal Kombat :francis:

That shyt came out in 1992 but they flashback was set in 1989 :stopitslime:
