Does anyone here know about government contracts and working overseas????
I did Federal contracting at DHS and DOD. But it's not worth the hassle in my opinion. And it's damn near impossible to get these jobs unless you live in very specific locations. The money wasn't that great either for the amount of work they required.

What locations?

I don't know why people continue to work for companies that outsource heavily like At&t, IBM etc? I avoid these companies like the plague.
Because the big name is a draw and when you're working there you don't believe it will happen to you. You read about how Disney did their staff. Some of them literally trained their replacements.

Ehhh if you're young and/or naive maybe. After a few months on the job you should already know the lay of the land, who is most likely to be cut and who isn't. If you're in a large company you should be able to hear the train coming way before you see it.

You either need to live near a Military base or live near Washington, DC. If you wanted to work overseas the Navy was the easiest route.

Hmmm. Working with the Navy. I have a cousin that has a high rank in the navy. I will reach out to her soon and see whats up. Thanks bro!

Trust me there are a lot of naive people in this world. That's why they keep getting caught of guard when layoffs happen. I tell people all the time never feel bad about leaving a company for a better opportunity. They won't hesitate to cut your position.

:skip: that reminds me of when I was in high school and my English teacher said, "you know Obreh, not everyone is a stupid as you think they are :beli:." How wrong that woman was :mjlol:. But yeah I know they out there. I'll never feel bad for the company because I've left, just for some of the people I work with if I enjoy working with them. Might have to put this white woman on suicide watch when that time comes. She trying real hard to keep me around, in her own way.

These bonso practice exams are designed to fukk with one's head.

Did the 5th practice test for SA. Got a 72% on the dot :skip::heh:

Check this question out
A company is planning to launch a High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster in AWS that does Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. The solution should scale-out their simulation jobs to experiment with more tunable parameters for faster and more accurate results. The cluster is composed of Windows servers hosted on t3a.medium EC2 instances. As the Solutions Architect, you should ensure that the architecture provides higher bandwidth, higher packet per second (PPS) performance, and consistently lower inter-instance latencies.

Which is the MOST suitable and cost-effective solution that the Architect should implement to achieve the above requirements?

Options were use
  • Elastic Network Adapter
  • Elastic Fabric Adapter
  • Use Enhanced Networking on EC2 instances with virtual networking
  • Use AWS Parallel Sync to deploy and manage HPC clusters and provide high bandwidth, packet per second performance, and lower inter instance latencies

First, nikka, the only instance type i fukk with is t2.micro, cuz its free tier:skip:. T3a.medium ? :usure:
I gotta be knowing all the instance types for associate? ACG told me that was for the pro level cert:what:.

Tbh, i figured it didn't have any bearing on my answer, however I couldve been wrong.

Second, I barely read about Elastic Network Adapter and Fabric Adapters, but I know they act like a virtual network card and you can assign multiple ips to an instance, thus improving throughput and ish. They say cost effective and I know Fabric adapters are a fancier version of network adapters, so more expensive. I'm like I got one decent option :ehh:, pretty unsure tho.

Thirdly, then i see the option of Parallel sync. I've never seen that shyt before but it got all the keywords from the question:skip:, but then its probably a fully managed service so its probably more expensive than rigging shyt yourself, but then im like why would they advertise a fully managed but more expensive option that does all the shyt you might need:patrice:

I choose the parallel sync option. Correct answer was the elastic network adapter:unimpressed:.

Only thing keeping me from stressing is posts on reddit where some cats have been saying they also failed the shyts but still passed:yeshrug:

I'm practicing with the same practice exams and I studied from acloudguru. There's so much shyt that acg didn't go over that they go over here but I'm thinking the exams here are harder for no reason. It's forcing me to learn things that I didn't learn yet.

So when I start getting 90s and shyt on these exams I know I'm going to breeze on the exams

Also what's helping me is the indian dudes on youtube, since they go over everything.

I feel you on that, however you mean getting 90s on retakes? Ive retaken 3 of the tests and gotten 80s. Sometimes it feels awkward cuz i remember the answers after the 1st take. Retaking definitely helps to cement concepts tho.

When's yours scheduled for?
