It is been hard to get back on my grind lately. I had interview with Amazon and did not make it through. Every single requirement they asked I met(even certs etc.). I did well throughout the questions asked..except this random question they asked that I would not know unless I work in devops. The main thing that bothers me is that when I look linkedin at their white hires, they are not as qualified. Some didn't even have a tech background. With that said, the positions did close after their mass layoffs but I can't lie, I still feel a bit defeated.
Going to spend some time in the next 45-50 days, redoing my labs etc. re-up my aws-sec then start applying for new jobs. I was banking on this to be my next move hence why I feel so defeated .
Bachelors in Cyber is complete
If you are paying for a bootcamp then why aren't they the ones helping you with this?I'm in the Level Up In Tech cloud program and I'm working on a Kubernetes project
So as an update one of my cohort mates helped me out with the issue and I believe it's 8k nowIf you are paying for a bootcamp then why aren't they the ones helping you with this?

All y’all winning
Don't take it hard breh. It could have nothing to do with you. They might have saw you as a threat. We both know that the industry is filled with insecure folks. I would secure that clearance at all costs. It will still be good for 2 years even if you leave Federal employment. And it's much easier to get cyber roles with a clearance under your belt. For experience I would just sign up for Tryhackme or HtB.Started applying to new jobs I'm in the DMV area, currently being processed for my TS/SCI but I'm like fukk it at this point. I have a Bachelors, Sec+, CEH and CASP+, and a Top Secret Clearance BUT... not a lot of experience. I used this slow paced job to study during the day and got those three certs in about 10 months. So now that this job has served it's purpose the only reason to stay would be for the TS/SCI.
I'm currently looking at ISSO, Cyber Security Analyst and Vulnerability Analyst positions online and man do I need more hands on experience. If anyone has any tips for interviews or jobs I'm all ears. My resume looks good but my lack in experience will no doubt hold me back. So I just need to interview, interview and interview. I'll find something eventually.
What is your degree in? You having all that and TS clearance is huge. You would be foolish to leave before getting that. Also without knowing more about you, it's hard to give any advice. The only advice I can give right now would be to invest in a homelab or a tryhackme account. HtB is good but that's more tailored to red teaming. Do you have zero IT experience?Started applying to new jobs I'm in the DMV area, currently being processed for my TS/SCI but I'm like fukk it at this point.
