Any CCNP brehs in here? Thinking about going for it but not sure it it's worth the effort over jumping into some AWS certs. Already have a CCNA so I'm not sure how much more value I get for getting the CCNP.

Are you a network engineer or trying to be a network engineer? If so, get it. If not, get the AWS cert.

Five years ago it was held in higher regard for senior and lead roles. It seems like recruiters have eased up on listing it.

They know it's easier for employees to interview elsewhere while working from home.

I used to routinely setup 2 or 3 interviews a day when working remotely. I think that's how so many people were so easily able to quit jobs during the Great Resignation.

It's was so easy to schedule interviews working from home. I wouldn't even take the day off usually.

It's the main reason I was able to negotiate a much bigger salary increase last year. I could literally take my time and schedule interviews with companies all over the country. I hope this shyt never ends.

Yeah this job market is nuts, I'm just a helpdesk breh who's looking to get into Sys-Admin work and I'm getting calls and emails the same day I enter the application.

As a dude who last looked for a job in late 2018 this shyt is night and day to me.

Been studying for the Network+ and RHCE certs, but don't plan on taking the exams anytime soon cause I'm broke. :mjlol: .

About to start a help desk job though making $18, and will stay there for 6 months to a year, then plan on moving to sysadmin role. After that Jr Cloud Engineer. Hopefully I can complete all this within 3 years.
