I think they actually extended the certs through 2020 due to Covid.

If you're not constantly learning something new every few months. You're basically stunting your future earnings big time.

The speed at which technology changes means you're skills could be obsolete after only 3 or 4 years. Especially if you work for a company that isn't on the bleeding edge of technology wise.

:blessed::banderas:

Just accepted a job offer for a System Engineer position @ 85K /Annually. With benefits.

I get to continue on the VDI career path with VMware and I'll get some exposure to Citrix, Azure, server building, etc all while working from home

From $15 /Hour to $85K since January of last year. :mindblown:

From unboxing and imaging PCs all day to this

Keep Grinding Brehs.

In a year or two of getting experience you should hit six figures easy :wow:. What certs you aimed for?

Currently I hold:

(2xVCP Designated)

VCP-DTM and VCP-DCV ( I really love working with VMware + plenty of Work from Home opportunities)

Certs I'm after:

  • RHCSA is scheduled for next month on the 4th
  • RHCE - Goal By the end of the year (My second favorite skill set is Linux, I love working in Bash CLI)
  • AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate - getting good scores on practice test, Might go ahead and knock it out
  • CKA Certified Kubernetes Administrator - Goal is January or February next year

Once i'm done with this contract, I'm going for a Cloud Engineer or Devops role

I'm bout to buy me a server desktop with 8 to 16 cores, 96G-128G of RAM and 2 TB Hard drive to build out a full VDI infrastructure.

Sounds unnecessary, but those .VMX, .VMDK files and snapshots add up on your hard drive fast. I need the cushion

reason I'm going so hard with the lab set up is my goal is to become an RHCA and VMware Design Expert by or during 2022... Linux and Virtualization is my foundation and any other skill I get on top of that will be icing on the cake.

:myman:

That's my whole purpose....to inspire my G

Everytime I make a break through or hit a career milestone, I want to keep brehs updated to show them in real-time what's possible when you stay in grind mode

I want to keep this thread going just as strong as it was 3 to 4 years ago.

Data Analysis with Python: Zero to Pandas

Overview
“Data Analysis with Python: Zero to Pandas” is an online course intended to provide a coding-first introduction to data analysis. The course takes a hands-on coding-focused approach and will be taught using live interactive Jupyter notebooks, allowing students to follow along and experiment. Theoretical concepts will be explained in simple terms using code. Participants will receive weekly assignments and work on a project with real-world dataset to test their skills. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

Prerequisites
This is a beginner-friendly course, and no prior knowledge of Python or data science is assumed. Some previous exposure to programming is helpful, but it is not a strict requirement for this course.

Syllabus
The course is divided into 6 modules, and will be taught over 6 weeks via video lectures and interactive Jupyter notebooks.
