What else would you expect from a darling of the black feminist brigade. You know the agenda by now, tear down the blk man in favor of a white Kang. One of my co workers, (manless, fat, with a dry Afro) kept raving about how hilarious and gorgeous Issa Rae is and when I finally seen her picture she looked like a young Eddie Kane in the face :camby:

it's called "insecure" and the pilot is streaming on HBO GO

I won't spoil the plot points, but the usual suspects are all present:

- the unemployed broke boyfriend
- the brother that loves "other" women
- the aging wanna be rappers
- the "I ain't looking for love, just sex!" dudes

And of course the sistas are corporate business minded modern day black women

This is bound to be a hit, and there were some parts I laughed at. But it's waiting to exhale 2.0

I've made similar sentiments. I really want to support her because she's a Black woman
Doing her thing but I'm not supporting the continued stereotype of the black male as lazy, unambitous, c00ns or thugs.

Even in her web series she chose a Cac over a black Man. fukk that

This the same awkward black girl who had a cac bf ?

The whole purpose of white people getting her a show was to shyt on black men. She did her swirler routine until it paid off. Now she can shyt on black men and get paid for. But c00ns will c00n.
:mjlol: So this is a Bedwench show?

:yeshrug: Oh wells, I never planned on watching this show anyways. If I'm gonna watch a Bedwench show, I'd rather watch "Scandal", "Sleepy Hollow", or "Being Mary Jane". Which all have much better looking female leads.

Funny thing is that she grew up with both her parents, her father is a doctor I believe and her boyfriend is a black college graduate so she can't fall back on the bullshyt "I never had any positive black males in my life" routine :camby:

In before a cac shows her the true meaning of love:coffee:

I stopped watching "Misadventures...Girl" for that exact reason. The short was pretty much my life and I lived for it, but when it was all about White Jay, I was out of there. I get so sick of the media and Hollywood telling me that no black men will ever find me attractive and that white men are the be-all and end-all. Misadventures was supposed to be different, but it was the same old shyt.

(I will say that a lot of Insecure mirrors my life, ESPECIALLY the "We Got Y'all" segments, but not the dating/relationship parts.)
