90% of the tv/movies I download I pay for the channel and could just watch it. It's just easier to download them and stream it :yeshrug:

just to clarify, your ISP is not monitoring you, they are monitoring how many legal notices get sent to them on behalf of you. if you rack up six letters from the suits, you get banned. the ISP does not actually know what content you have at the moment you are sharing, they only know what some content owner defender told them about you. this is probably to protect themselves from any future litigation charging them with profiting off piracy by facilitating it without taking steps to stop it. basically, the same approach sites like youtube have taken is now sorta being applied by ISPs now. when warned of infringement, they have to at least look like they care now.

I haven't heard anything. I assume when/if they really start pursuing this, the internet will go crazy

ive never had any problems with downloading anything. then again all ive ever used is those "ddl" sites. ive known to stay away from torrents for years. let the website be taken down, i wont.:damn:

hmmm....got an email and my internet connection was shut down. had to call in to get it re-activated.
