NOI wasn’t really the focus of the topic, BUT….

now that you say it, NOI was the fist brand of Muslims to reject arabization or Arab culture in accepting Islam…. and see it as a religion that could be translated into any culture/society and way of life.

I’m pretty sure they don’t even speak Arabic or even care that the Quran is the Arabic word of God which is supposed to be recited in that language only

I’m hear they rely more on the Bible for their scriptures, teaching and devotion

Anyways…

Blacks in USA was truly the only untouchable culture even Arabs couldn’t infiltrate (although Fard Muhammad was an Indian/Arab ambiguous breh) and most Blacks in USA were so Christian it wouldn’t even work.

neither did Arab communities really mix with black (other than owning gas stations, bodegas and dollar stores) neighborhoods anyways so the opportunity wasn’t there

And Blacks had their own issues with outsiders coming in and trying to dominate and enslave them

And all know they was just as or even MORE racists than whites


African Americans made their own brand of Islam for black people…. Just like they did with all other aspects of “black culture” and made the whole a “black thing” and even into a pseudo power movement.


For Muslims in Africa was the opposite effect cause Arabs came straight up colonized dominated and took over the culture to where being Muslims was inseparable with being Arab

and Arab culture was good whereas “African” culture and identity was bad for the most part

But the NOI brand of “non Arab” Islam needs to be studied and respected more for what it accomplished

Because the majority of the Arab world doesn’t respect the organization, it’s history or the leaders (except Malcomb x) like it should.

But then again I guess they see NOI like mainstream Christianity see Mormons or JW…. Ironically enough

Plenty of Arabs are not Muslim so it is an interesting phenomenon. There's also so many little things like this that haven't nothing to do with the Quran.

It's almost amazing that folks are unaware because it's not an insanely long book either.

On the flip side, if you have religion intersecting with the law of the land, yeah, you're going to see some Islamic influence from how the people of that time want to use the faith. That doesn't make them correct.

So is Islam synonymous with Arab culture? yes and no. Depend who you ask. Depends on your location lol. Not a lot to say because the video is pretty cut and dry.

Dudes on thecoli don't understand how the world really is. There is no such thing as "Arab culture". An iraqi is diffrent from a Palestinian who is diffrent from a Yemeni and so forth.

The 3 biggest muslim nations are non-arab. If Islam was an Arab religion then Arabs would be the the "chosen people" in the Quran like how the Jews are in their books. There are alot of non-muslim arabs.

if you look closely, they are technically still polytheistic

its more of a henotheism now but its veiled by the constant use of "We" in regards to the text itself.

re: many arabs arent muslim. Its because Christianity is still big out there. While many people are familiar with the Septuagint, Latin Vulgate and KJV the Arab christians have the Peshytta which is rarely quoted on this site but has its own subtle differences to other versions.
