I'd say they're more influenced by Qutbism if anything. Many of AQ leaders said they were influenced by the teachings of Sayiid Qutb and Qutbists/Wahhabists don't get along breh breh. The most prominent modern "wahabbist" scholars such as Ibn Baz or Uthaymeen (Rahimahum Allah) were against AQ and these types of groups. And I don't really think jihadist groups have a good opinion o Al Saud anyway![]()
They are wahhabbist anyway you slice it down. Most of the fighters came out of Saudia Arabia, so it's proven through many journalist pieces that it's Wahhabi all the way.
