Isiah Thomas is the most underrated basketball player of all time. I've said it repeatedly, i stand on that. He changed the way an entire generation of players dribble and control the court, and he played with a level of heart and grit that is now the standard. TRULY a goat. at lowest, 3rd best PG of all time (Magic and Curry, i won't even entertain anyone else).

Isiah went to 5 straight eastern conference finals, and 3 straight NBA finals (that sound familiar, fellow Pistons fans???) He should've and could've won 4 titles. And HE LED THAT TEAM and put them on his back, regularly.

He is probably the 3rd best ball handler of all time after Kyrie and AI. And he brought that shyt TO the league.

I think he meant just his blackout moments.Zeke had some crazy blackouts in the post season.

Personally, I think the Bad Boy Pistons are the most brutal opponent in NBA history. They played with the effort of a team trying to compensate for lack of talent, but they actually had a roster full of HOF level players.Zeke, Dumars, Aguirre, Dantley, Rodman. This guy Laimbeer was maybe the first stretch big...On top of that, he'd take your fukking head off.All Star caliber player.

Not to mention arguably one of the top three 6th Men of all time in Vinnie Johnson. Not only that, the rest of the bench was deep with quality defensive bigs. The fashion in which they'd brutalize/play bully ball with your star player...Imagine you send a team like the 2022 Warriors back to the late 80's..Have them square off against the Bad Boy Pistons in a 7 game playoff series? I think the Pistons take it in 4 or 5 games.

Bunch of people in this thread arguing something he never said (which proves they didn’t watch the video). He said his peak as a small player was the best ever and that his highlight film in the playoffs is second to MJ.

So the regular season performance matters as much/more than the playoff performance? :laff: make it make sense. If he was such a subpar regular season player (WILD take) how did they win their division 4 years in a row and win 60+ games and 50+ games like 4 times? 5x all nba.

He's the most underrated because he's never even mentioned in the conversation of 80s best players when he killed all them dudes in their prime at least twice. Prime Isiah beat bird, magic, and jordan, in the playoffs, multiple times. But they act like he just was on some ensemble shyt.
Dis brotha spittin :wow:
