Comparing PGs to big men when it comes to shyt like this is mindblowing dumb .

It’s insanely more difficult for a PG to lead a team to a championship than a nikka that’s 6’8..

Which is why i don’t look at CP3,Dame or even Steph sideways when they come up short

Dumars was a better and more consistent playery for the Pistons, in the late 80's when the Pistons were winning Championships

You don't know ball. Isiah was shooting terrible percentages while Dumars was consistently clutch, dropping buckets and guarding Jordan.

Who was the 1st Detroit Piston to win Finals MVP? Better put some respect on that boys name
Isiah was charged with directing the offense and being the #1 offensive option himself . Dumars was the point of attack defender on Jordan but he had elite defenders behind him.Slowing down Jordan was a team scheme ..not just Dumars clamping him .

Dumars is underrated as hell but he was clear #2 to Isiah . Wiggins and Iggy won a FMV before Steph doesn’t mean they both were better players at that time .

A lot of nostalgia for Isiah based off that game against the Lakers in the finals when he dominated on one leg.

He was good but not even close. If anything, he individually was very inconsistent.

Dumars was a better and more consistent player for the Pistons, in the late 80's when the Pistons were winning Championships AND had to guard the most unstoppable offensive weapon in history at the other end. .

Isiah's peak came earlier in his career.
look at this shyt

So the regular season performance matters as much/more than the playoff performance? :laff: make it make sense. If he was such a subpar regular season player (WILD take) how did they win their division 4 years in a row and win 60+ games and 50+ games like 4 times? 5x all nba.

He's the most underrated because he's never even mentioned in the conversation of 80s best players when he killed all them dudes in their prime at least twice. Prime Isiah beat bird, magic, and jordan, in the playoffs, multiple times. But they act like he just was on some ensemble shyt.
5x All Nba in the 80’s is crazy because there were only 2 All NBA teams unlike the 3 teams they have now

Zeke always get props. Even Jordan called him the 2nd best pg of all tome. Ppl just focus on the negative

In the video, Ryan said Zeke has the second best playoff highlights of all-time, not second best playoff peak. I strongly disagree but that's a subjective thing compared to performance.

old white man clearly said "highlight film" but people are in here talking about peaks lol
He said peak also.
Bro 5x All NBA in a 13 year career for someone who’s supposed to be a top 3 PG? You just helped prove my point.

And how did they win all those games? Because they were a great, deep and revolutionary team coached by a great coach. Dumars, Laimbeer, Rodman, Dantley then Aguirre, “The Microwave”, Salley James Edwards and Mahorn. Also Chuck Daly and his coaching staff changed how defense was played. Zeke stepped up in the playoffs but in the regular season when they started winning he was just an all star All NBA 3rd team level player.

And as far being mentioned among the best in the 80’s I’d say Dr. J and Moses Malone are both ahead of him. But they rarely get mentioned so how could he be underrated
No it doesn't.

Comparing Iggy and Steph to Isiah and Dumars is nonsense bro

Isiah maybe had a higher ceiling in the early to mid-80's but its a moot point since Dumars was not even in the league then.

Isiah and Dumars was 1A and 1B in the late 80's, during the Bad Boy era. I've watched the tape. Isiah was not better. Don't believe the hype.

Its stupid shyt like what Bob Ryan is saying that quickly turns underrated to overrated.

Anybody who was ACTUALLY watching basketball back then knows isiah changed his game for the team. He had no problem dropping 30 whenever he wanted to.

Dumars was an excellent player. But he was not better than zeke. That ain’t even up for discussion.

Isiah gets underrated because he CLEARLY sacrificed his individual game and stats in order to ensure that his team would win. Selfless shyt (and others in Detroit were on the same shyt, like Mark Aguirre). I always felt like dudes who willingly held themselves back in order for the team to succeed deserve more credit, especially when it’s not like they used it as an excuse to become lazy later.
