As for the Pistons being past their prime. Isiah was 29, Dumars 27, Rodman 29, Salley 26, Aguirre 31, Laimbeer 33.

- The Bulls had perfected the triangle and Jordan became harder to pin down
- Pippen got considerably better and was playing extremely well throughout the 91 playoffs
- Because Pippen came better and Grant became better, and because of the triangle, the Jordan Rules became obsolete.
