Speaking of injuries, don't forget mention the god tier game Isiah had on a turned ankle in game 6 the first year they went to the finals

and how that injury affected the outcome of the series.. who knows if the Lakers repeat if Zeke doesn't get hurt in game 6

That's just 1 game. And they still lost the series. Zeke had already played a bunch of games. Magic missed pretty much the entire series the following year.

What I'm saying, and you're avoiding, is that it affected the outcome of the series.
Not as much as the starting pg missing the series, but it happened.

Zeke's 25 point 3rd quarter in Finals> Jordan's flu game, btw

Dantley was top 5 at his position. Wasn’t nothing inferior about him. Let the league in scoring a few times had a stretch of 5-6 years avg 30ppg.

Jordan’s wasn’t that big a deal when i was in school. Them chits was sitting on the shelf.

I know how good AD was. Saying someone isn't as good as Bron or KD is not a knock, just a statement of reality for majority of NBA players in history.

:mjlol: Mike got Zeke so in his feelings that he’s downgrading his own era to slight him. If KD and Bron would be better than Mike in the 80s, then Zeke might not even be a top 10 PG in today’s game

Plus wernt James Worthy and Byron Scott hurt the year the Bulls beat them? Injurys changes series all the time. Its another reason I dont just count rings.

They got injured during the series, and missed the last game. LA would have lost anyway, but they did miss the fifth and deciding game.

Injuries happen all the time, it's just part of sports.

Worthy was hurt going into the series. And he wasnt himself all series long.. at least thats what my dad tells me. Hes a long time Laker fan. I was 6 years old when that series was going on :manny:
But yea injuries are part of it. People under estimate how much luck plays a part in winning chips.

Unless they don't like the team that won. You can go back and point to various breaks for every champion. That is part of it. It's not worth going down that rabbit hole. But if you are gonna go that route you gotta go all the way and keep in consistent.
