Hes in a different place than Free Lunch Isaiah, because when I think of his delivery as an up and Comer I always refer to this track. Personally for him, maybe that's a good thing for since we all know he had his demons.

It's just my opinion. What he's saying isn't piercing through. There is some dumbing down going on but I don't think the dumbing down is the issue.

All Herb, idk what that was.

Wait, so why don't you like Don't Shoot is what I'm asking.

The lyrics aren't deep enough, it's too surface?

Do you think he could've gone deeper into that topic?

Why do I like this project so much?
:mindblown:
This isn't the type of music I usually listen to. Even my girl had to double take when shyt started playin' in the car.

I just checked it out cause of this thread.

:salute:my coli brehs for putting me on.

Go listen to Cilvia Demo and The Sun's Tirade next and tell us how you like it

I’m usually listening Nas, Boldy James, mobb deep, Griselda, Jay, Royce, Lupe etc. But this dude Isaiah Rashad makes undeniable dope music. I can’t explain it’s almost hypnotic.

Didn't really know what to make of this with the initial listen.

But there's definitely an ambiance to this album that is very unique. I dunno if his rapping on this is an actual aesthetic choice or just the sound of a leaned out rapper, but I think it fits perfectly with the music. Of course, in traditional rapping terms, this isn't on the level of Cilvia Demo, but whether intentional or by accident, I think he's created a very coherent, interesting album.

This is like art-mumble rap.

Man its nuts how I been playing this and pretty much only this since it dropped. Hey Mista and 9-3 Freestyle might be 2 of the vibiest songs I've ever encountered in my life. I can't say enough about this project. And part of me feels like both CD and TST are better, but I never obsessed over them like this shyt. Maybe that says something about the current rap climate, maybe that says something about myself. Whatever.

Hey Mista is a top 20 song of all time for me at this point though. I cannot even begin to explain why I feel so strongly about that cut. But it is absolutely phenomenal and the type of shyt I wish I had some 16 in kickers in the trunk for. My lil Bose shyt strugglin like a fat bytch at boot camp.

I need Q in the studio Kal Banx man. This is the BOUNCE he needs. One of the biggest problems with Crash Talk is that most of the beats weren't wavy at all. The beats weren't bad, they were simply better suited for a rapper who could have added a wave to them...give that shyt to Migos or Travis and I'm sure they would have become good tracks. But you gotta give Q a certain vibe and bounce for him to do his thing.

Kal Banx might single handedly save TDE. This is what they need. They've needed to modernize their sound for a minute without it sounding like trend hopping. Adding this dude to the in-house production was a good move, now let him bless him Q/SZA/Jay Rock. Kenny got access to the best of the best so he doesn't need it...but everyone else? Bless em Kal.
