Just listened again with headphones this time and the production is really nice on this. But again the lyrical/rapping element just isn’t there on this album like it was on previous albums, he sounds a bit drowned out too like I can’t really comprehend what’s being said most the time. This incoherent sound was present on Suns Tirade too but it worked better with the vibe of the album.

However the features on this album are great and sonically the music sounds good as well to make this solid but my least favorite of all his albums so far which ain’t an insult, his last two are excellent. I love the transitions on this shyt, makes the album sound cohesive. And despite my gripes about the amount of rapping, there’s plenty of vintage Zay on here like Headshots, THIB ( I love this one), RIP Young and HB2U

I think y'all are trippin with the ST slander. That shyt had so many classics. 4 da Sqaw, free lunch, Wat's Wrong, Stuck in the mud, Park, Titty and Dolla, Brenda, Find a Topic. Only maybe 3 tracks I wasn't feeling.


Zay is 3 for 3 as far as I'm concerned

Suns Tirade is my favorite album of his for sure, I was late on it too but that shyt will be forever in rotation and is a classic to me

i called it weeks ago. people kept saying headshots was "cilvia vibezzzzz", then zay said in a interview that he mixed it up a bit = people wouldn't get it.

I think I would’ve replaced the Jay Rock & Jay Worthy track with “Running From The Law”, maybe even throw Soul, Jay Rock and KDOT on it. It’s not a bad song but runnin from the law is clearly a standout.
