60M AAV - franchise players
50M AAV - all stars
40M AAV - starters
30M AAV - rotational guys
15-20M AAV - bench guys

Those are the numbers now

It's not gonna be that black and white, especially with this 2nd apron. I think we're gonna see wider disparities between what the franchise players, all-stars, key starters on contenders (can't be replaced if they leave by contenders over salary cap) and young starters with star potential (eg Quickley) make vs everyone else. There will be a few overpaid starters and rotational guys who get balloon short-term contracts every summer from small market teams looking to reach the salary floor, but those will be outliers. And given the league is going younger and younger, we're gonna see a lot of players go from big bags to vet minimums or mid-level after 30.

Always be wary of players who take a giant leap in production in a contract year.

And for IHart he didn’t even ball out for a whole year, he just strung together a few good games in the playoffs.

People in here acting like he’s a championship missing piece are living in the moment to an absurd degree.

He’s a career backup and spot starter. Spots never change on the leopard

Knicks fans thought he was gonna play for $16 Million a year and OG was gonna sign a 4 for $140. They also thinking Brunson taking a huge pay cut and not going for the 5 year $270 million because he only cares about winning.

It's unique because his pay went up but he's not being asked to take on a larger role or be something he's not, he's literally being added to a #1 seed to fulfill the same exact role he thrived in with New York.

I think his loss is being overstated but the hype for his impact on OKC is justified, him and Caruso are a great addition to what they already had in place.
