Paul George is also a free agent after next year. Just cause we trade for him doesn't mean he will sign with us. Rumors are he wants to play for the lakers. If we give up a bunch of players for him and he leaves, that'll be the ultimate kick in the nuts.

If we trade for him, can we have a 24/48 hr window to negotiate a new contract for him, like baseball, before the trade goes through or is finalized? Or is it "buyer beware..." Jus wondering, not hip on basketball trades like that...

I'm not sure about negotiating a new deal like baseball. Teams in the past would do sign and trades. If a player doesn't do a sign and trade he becomes a free agent at the end of the year.

Ok cool, i just remembered when the sox got schilling, they had agreed to the trade, pending an extension they had 24 hours to complete...

“Yeah, I’m just thinking about winning the game, like, guys going nuts, we’re not stopping anybody, they’ve scored 115 points in the last 42 minutes of the game...It’s been an ongoing discussion. And again, I’m not going to get caught up in winning a couple of games in a row and all that stuff; I want to get caught up in playing well. We’ve shown ourselves capable of playing well, we have not sustained it throughout a game. And it’s been pretty consistent.

Celtics survive Booker's 70 points, but Stevens unhappy with win

This may very well be our Achilles' Heel heading into the playoffs. We GOTTA close our games.:AreYouFnKiddingMe:

Al Horford had 10 rebounds tonight :leon:

Do ya'll think if he can be an actual real post presence they have a chance to go real far?

I wouldn't bank on Horford pulling 10 or so rebounds a night, especially in the playoffs where he's had some notoriously bad rebounding games (see Hawks vs. Cavs last postseason, for example). He's a big man with a modern big-man game so he's used more as a facilitator and/pick-and-pop option as opposed to a more traditional big man that lives in the post. Hence, Al's averaging PG numbers in assists but stays hovering around 6 or 7 boards a game. However, it's encouraging that Horford has really put in more work getting at the boards. He really has been rounding into form within the past couple of weeks.

These fukkin Nets keep on winning.:sadcam:
Might end up out of the Fultz/Ball/Jackson sweepstakes.

I see that too but the Nets are still the league's worst team by a decent margin so they still have the 25% chance of landing the #1 pick. But I'd hate for the Lakers to keep losing while the Nets keep grinding games out to close the season.
