Avery Bradley is the odd man out. He needs to be traded while his value is high, period. After next year Isaiah and Avery will be free agents, and fukk breaking the bank for 2 undersized guards. We're gonna give Isaiah deserved big time money. But Avery is not worth what he is going to command on the market. He's become a very good jump shooter and is a good defender. I don't think he's as good of a defender as people say he is. He also seems to always get hurt. At this moment he is better than Marcus . But Marcus is bigger, stronger, 4 years younger, is a better defender and creator than Avery, and could be signed for much less than Avery. Marcus does do a lot of bonehead stuff, but he also does so many things to help a team win.

I say we trade Avery, and filler (Young, Zeller, maybe even Rozier etc.) for a quality big man. Then we either use the Brooklyn pick to draft the eventual Avery replacement (Fultz, Ball, or Jackson), or offer the pick for Jimmy Butler. Marcus stays and resumes being the third guard. Only thing that could fukk this scenario up is if Brooklyn starts winning and does not ending up having the worst record in the league, or we end up getting fukked out of a top 3 pick in the lottery.

Brooklyn has the worst record by a significant margin so unless they trade for Lebron in the next week we will go into the lottery as the favorite for the top pick

I love Avery Bradley (one of my favorite players in the league) but the truth hurts. He's gonna get flipped. I'll miss him.

Wade is questionable tonight due to illness.

On the trade stuff, Ainge was on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston this morning. Said team is looking for a long-term player at the deadline. Team is not interested in a three month rental or "band-aid" type player.

The hybrid guard has split time between the starting lineup and bench with Avery Bradley sidelined, but he’s remained a defensive menace no matter when he plays. His 2.8 steals per game on the C’s road trip were reflective of his immense defensive impact. He continues to make strides offensively as well (14.3 ppg on road trip, 50% FG) and that type of production has helped C’s fight their way to 11 wins in 12 games without Bradley.

Celtics player power rankings: Marcus Smart is turning into a complete guard
