:jbhmm: anybody see this? Is this a sign he might come to Boston?

Could be the much needed interior defensive help we need. Beating a piss test would be an issue though.

If he could give up the trees (during the regular season), I'd gladly welcome him.

“I can definitely be better as a player,” Horford said. “We can all improve as a group, but I think that we’re coming along. Definitely from the first game of the year until now, we’ve come a long way.”

The defense in December also has improved. The Celtics are eighth in the NBA in defensive field goal percentage this month and seventh in opponents’ 3-point percentage. They are eighth in overall defensive rating.

The Celtics aren’t yet stifling opponents but they are getting more consistent stops.

“We’re growing as a group and starting to understand what Coach wants from us every night and guys are just doing it,” Horford said. “I think we’re building more trust with each other and the chemistry is starting to get better. That helps a lot.”

Horford needs to improve in the fourth quarter. Dude always go missing then.

“I think it’s always been that,” the Knicks star said of the Celtics’ lure. “I mean, when you think about basketball, Boston is one of the top places that you think of.

“I think they’ve done a great job over the past three or four years of just . . . building,” he said. “They’ve really built this, starting from scratch when they traded (Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett). They rebuilt.

“They got some draft picks and made some trades and got a great coach. I thought their front office did a hell of a job with just figuring that part of the game out. A lot of it comes from that.”
