I like Al Horford, he does a lot of nice things out there for us, but he comes up small when it matters most in the 4th quarter offensively.

To be fair, I don't think he was ever regarded as a guy who can take over a game in the 4th. But he makes for a fantastic defender, interior presence, and glue-guy. I really do think he's a great addition for us and he's excelled as a point forward (when he's been healthy).

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and yours,#celtsgang!

I'm so fukking pumped for this game.

I'm expecting a big game from Isaiah (and from Avery and Jaylen). And Amir may knock down a couple of 3s.

Interesting rozier didn't play

No injury to my knowledge

Were they showcasing smart?

Hmm...didn't even notice Rozier's absence.

Maybe Stevens felt good about the personnel he had on the court and didn't want to switch up the rotation/chemistry in the game.

Danny has to make a decision between Thomas Bradley smart and rozier

Can't have and don't need all four on the roster, plus they feel like Demetrius can give them minutes this year

Plus they have potentially the top pick in a deep point guard draft

And on top of all that, you're not gonna want to pay smart Bradley and Isaiah after next season, right?

Yeah, we have a logjam at the point guard position. Avery is a shooting guard so he stays. Isaiah's our best player so he's good.

So, for me, one of Marcus Smart or Rozier has to go. Marcus is offensively retarded but his defense is the stuff of the elite. Rozier can score in bunches as a spark plug off the bench but he doesn't excel in any particular facet of the game. It's a tough decision to make but because I value defense more, I'd keep Smart. But maybe Danny will flip both, seeing that we're deep in trade rumors and we have the Nets pick.

But, to your point, yeah, something's gotta give.

He actually had a good offensive game

Yeah but the offense slows down whenever he has the ball. He's not a good fit in Stevens' preferred up-tempo offense. His godly defense saves his ass. With that said, yeah, he hit some big shots for us and had some nice passes.
