Yeah it was a 10 off for the first 3 months promo floating around a while ago.

Worst thing about it is there is no channel surfing mechanic :francis:.
Every time you want to switch the channel you gotta go through the guide :hhh:

Directv now had the shyt set up where you press left or right on the remote to change the channel

You just made me realize I haven’t channel surfed in YEARS.. I either look at the guide for the program I want or got the channel memorized.... So another plus for switching to yttv.... :myman:

It's still annoying to not be able to immediately change the channel :unimpressed:. they got a lot of counterintuitive methods for finding on demand TV shows and navigating in general.

Want to customize your guide for only the channels you watch?

You gotta log on to the fukking computer :mjtf:

I just switched last week...I'm loving it so far. Tmobile gives me $10 off a month so $54.99 for the channel selection is pretty dope.

I do miss the A&E channel but I can pull that up on my IPTV

its time...i'm bout to just keep my internet and deal with youtube tv for regular channels and sports.....:manny:
Funny you made this thread bc I just got it this week.

I'm coming from traditional direct tv satellite. Youtube tv works just as fast if not faster when changing channels than satellite.

I like it. HD is consistent and endless dvr

I gave the trial a shot jus the other week. I'm not too big on it's Youtube.com/Netflix style interface. I wish it emulated the interface of a cable box--that is immediately bringing you live tv and letting you pull up a guide and select channels instead of picking things out of thumbnail boxes. But I'm gonna look over my cable bill and if it's cheaper than I'm switching over. Excellent selection and I don't watch enough tv to be blowing $80 a month on a basic package.

I got it and I love it. Its easy to use, can use it on any TV without any real setup and the channel selection and on demand shyt is nice.

The only thing I dont like the is DVR. If I record a show it records every episode of that bytch that comes on, whether its old or new.

do u use a chromecast? To send the vid from ta phone to tvs?

The guide is there on the live tab, just no current channel in a little box
Once you pick a channel it plays in the background when you pull the live guide up to change channel

Yep I saw. Maybe I'm just old school but it feels very convoluted and menu driven for my taste. I hope they redesign it. Frankly Youtube in general is so poorly designed by today's standards its amazing. They need to modernize the whole thing.

I'm wit you. It needs a better interface that's less menu driven.

In fact i wish all these streaming services had some sort of "live tv" mode that emulates watching scheduled programming either customizable or algorithm based on preference or something.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only cat in 2022 who hates navigating thumbnails or binge watching one show at a time. If I can turn on Disney+, hit the 90s X-men and then kick back and get randomized episodes of the other 90s Marvel stuff and more I would toss my cable box out the damn window.

Anyone here work for Google?
