Batman doesn't have the range and variation as x-men, it had so many great characters and story arcs (from individual struggles to galactic warfare). There wasn't much filler, nearly every episode built up the characters and the overall story (at least up to where I've watched).

Bats will always be a weirdo in a suit.

I will try to rewatch the Batman animated series though, haven't watched it since I was a kid.

or spiderman for that matter

and it's nowhere close to Batman TAS

The X-men cartoon will always be dope to me because of the nostalgia. To this day, the cartoon is still miles better than the movies.

I still think the cartoon would have been better off sticking with the Chris Claremont late 70s/early 80s roster over the early 90s lineup though.
Colossus and Nightcrawler should have been main characters, they deserved more than two episodes each. Dazzler can :camby: though.

I also like Cyclops over Wolverine. Scott was that dude until other writers messed up his character with X-factor behind Chris Claremont’s back.

It’s sad to see how far the franchise has fallen from where it was in the 80s and early 90s.

They flooded the series with too many wack characters, they made Logan bigger than the whole team, they couldn’t leave well enough alone with time travel or the Phoenix, they jobbed the X-men out to the Avengers and Inhumans over the movie rights, and almost all their iconic villains are on the X-men’s side now, leaving them with barely anyone interesting left to fight.

I binged it last weekend and it was even better than i remember

Batman: TAS. Was too episodic to be the goat. X-men had an amazing narrative that progressively picked up and stayed on course while having a diverse cast with multiple storylines
Wolverine and all his fukkery, Weapon X,Japan etc...
Cyclops struggling with what kind of leader he's going to be, discovering his father, brother. And his character ep featuring the Purple Man Kilgrave was a plot that deserved it own season!
Storms Claustrophobia, and past with the shadow king as well as her having a mutant nephew way before Spyke was even a thing
Gambit being a shifty thief who nobody really trust
And Rogue loving that nikka because of it
And speaking of rogue

The Rogue/Mystique/Nightcrawler/Mf Sabretooth!......./MF GRAYDON CREED ANGLE nikka!!!! WHAT!
It wasnt until years later that Bruce timm pulled off some fukkery of that caliber brehs


Plus the Goat Charles Xavier IMO
Breh was a fukking scumbag alotta times man.....watching him send them to almost certain doom time and time again was hilarious
