I owned it on DVD and one it's one of the few ppv's i'd watch on repeat. A lot of good matches. MITB match was lit, and those aren't even high flyers or hardcore types. They ruined the Divas match on dVd, but it was an instant classic live. Rey winning was huge too, and that match was fun, though too short. Foley/Edge was a classic on the low.
i don't really rock with HBK or Vince, but that was a big deal and interesting match too.

I don't have popular opinions on Manias though. the well received ones I didn't care for (last 3 for example). Most of 2008-2012 too.

2 Big Show and Kane (c) defeated Carlito and Chris Masters Tag team match for the World Tag Team Championship 6:42
3 Rob Van Dam defeated Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, Finlay, Matt Hardy, and Bobby Lashley Money in the Bank ladder match 12:14
4 John "Bradshaw" Layfield defeated Chris Benoit (c) Singles match for the WWE United States Championship 9:48
5 Edge (with Lita) defeated Mick Foley Hardcore match 14:36
6 The Boogeyman defeated Booker T and Sharmell Handicap match 3:43
7 Mickie James defeated Trish Stratus (c) Singles match for the WWE Women's Championship 8:48
8 The Undertaker defeated Mark Henry Casket match 9:28
9 Shawn Michaels defeated Vince McMahon No Holds Barred match 18:22
10 Rey Mysterio defeated Randy Orton and Kurt Angle (c) Triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship 11:19
11 Torrie Wilson defeated Candice Michelle Playboy pillow fight 3:54
12 John Cena (c) defeated Triple H by submission

So outside of the edge foley match, i dont remember shyt about any of these matches. fukkin flair in a MITB match?

Does anyone have great memories of mania 22? Maybe on the next tsc view session?

Besides the Edge/Foley match and Trish/Mickie in which they've done a great job of making you forget the finish was terribly botched, this was a very insignificant WM card. Every other match on the card maxed out at alright. This was comparable to Wrestlemania 2000.

People have already said what I was going to say about the show. There's a few matches and moments that I think make it stand out and memorable. What I think is the most forgettable of the last 15 years is this years. Only one match I've gone back to rewatch since (Women's triple threat) and nothing else. The rest of the card was flat, there were no real memorable moments outside of Shane's leap. Real nothing Mania.

we confusing bad with memorable. I also think this might be an age thing also. everything from mania 21-27 all kind of run together for me.
21 - Great
22 - Very good
23 - Very good
24 - Great
25 - Great match bad ppv
26 - Ok
27 - God awful and is neck and neck with 9 as being WOAT.

I honestly don't remember shyt from this last Wrestlemania besides Rock doing an impromptu squash and Roman not being able to work around the dreaded Triple H main event match. Even Shane's suicide spot was :russell:in hindsight after the fear wore off and 29 minutes of horrible wrestling inside HIAC.

I'll take Mania 22 over 32 in a heartbeat. Foley vs Edge was really good, Shawn vs Vince was fun fukkery and Rey winning the WHC in a sprint was fun too. And Trish/Mickie :shaq: :shaq:

WM 23 was very good? LOL. WM 24 was a Mayweather carried show and WM 25-26 proved that they had to rely on unwanted and old stars to try to push a show. Cripple H vs Sheamus and that forgettable rematch with Taker/Michaels that NO ONE EVER fukking talks about. Get real.

Same with me for 24-29

I could probably name you five or six matches I properly remember from all those combined

24 was great. It had Big Show vs. Floyd, Ric Flair's retirement match against HBK, Edge/Taker and I think money in the bank.

25 is a one match show.

26 is a one match show.

27 is HHH/Taker in a good match and Rock's return but not a good show overall.

28 was pretty good. HHH/Taker in the hell in a cell and Rock/Cena.

29 is garbage. Cena getting his win back :scusthov:

I just watched 22 all the way thru for the first the other day...It was good, but that Cena/HHH match had me confused as hell. I was gonna make a post about it.

24 - 32 with the exception of 30/31 are all whatever.

Taker/HBK I & II are classics but them other joints was :russell:even Punk's match was just ok.

22 is my favorite Mania of the past 10 years. It's comfy top to bottom and does the best job of characterizing the past decade of WWE.

Shawn michaels did the DX chop before he jumped off the ladder at Vince and I think Triple Hey did it in his match too. Which was a big moment because HHH and HBK were funding for a couple of years and that got everybody talking.

Although it ended up leading up to that goofy ass DX reunion
