Obviously he wasn't your traditional outside WR and deep threat, but he's a two time first-team all-pro and a two time second-team all-pro.

I know there are a lot of Patriots fans that like Edelman more and diminish what Welker did here, with a lot being because of an off target throw in a Super Bowl, but I respect what Welker did here in New England.

No. He had a good run though and if he stayed with the Pats I think he would put up better stats to make a case. But if you’re under 10,000 yards as a receiver you had to have been so dominant in a short span (like 5 1,800 yard seasons and a career ending injury or something) to get there which he wasn’t. I think he has a better case than Edelman though.

Also that drop wasn’t his fault and I’ll never change my mind on that :aicmon:

Not a hall of famer.
There are several WRs better than him that won't make it in

There are probably several traditional outside WR's that some would say are better that won't make it. However, I think Welker is an interesting case because he was still a four time all-pro and led the league in receptions three times. I see arguments both ways.

What do his numbers say? Just because he played an important role at one point for the Patriots doesn’t mean he’s better than other receivers that played during his time

Patriots win a bunch of super bowls so that means guys with so so numbers should make the HOF :hhh:

He's not a dome fraud, that's for sure..

 You stay talking slick about the Saints, pleighboi. :birdman:

Being a Patriots fan, you should be civil with us, given that both fanbases share common ground: a mutual hatred for that piece of :trash: "Comissioner" GoodeLL :pacspit:.
