He sort of has fallen off his last hot song was Mirror. Even if he has he had one hell of a run though. From after 50 Cent/Em fell off (2003 ish) to around the time he dropped No Ceilings (2009), no one commanded attention like him. No other rapper has done that for such a long period of time.

For a while there, a single couldn't even be hot if it didn't have Wayne on it.

I think probably at one point, Wayne stopped doing drugs, or started doing too many...

In terms of quality, yeah. 08 was a massive year for him, but never done too much for his solo career afterwards. He got too comfortable and releasing trash on the regular.

Nah, but he's clearly not as untouchable as he was around the 08-09 period.
People will always check for him, but the excitement ain't really there like that like it once was.

From 07 to 09 he was invincible though.

Wayne just got lazy. He feels that he is in the same league of a Hov, Ye, Em, or Nas and feels he can do whatever the fukk he wants. Carter IV was a disappointment, hopefully with Dedication 4 he gets back on his mixtape shyt and brings that mixtape Weezy flow back.

If that don't happen...then :yeshrug:...:heh: took his spot..

shyt Carter 1 and Carter 2 version of Wayne was far from a punchline rapper.

nah he kinda was but he didn't accentuate every line it was more fluid. I guess you'd have to define a punchline rapper in a certain way. and uhh the gillie thing is dead the progression from carter 1 to 3 is obviously the same artist for better or worse.

Somebody was influencing them rhymes. THis nikkas was rapping bout Ar's and shyt back then. Even if Gillie ain't right him dat East Coast influence rubbed off on him probably.

no its not...Like him or not, dude just sold 2million last time out and still doing respectable #'s in this climate right now.

People saying he riding Drake wave right now? When he is a bigger artist who outsells Drake.

Wayne got at least 2 more platinum albums in him if not a 3rd.
