It's a mixed bag. Yeah he's getting pushed too soon and too quick, but that's wwe fault for not really building anyone else up or using up all their talent in meaningless feuds or teams. They not really building up stars on the main roster. Look at this article I found from few years back. Would love to see an updated version but don't think they called up much during the thunderdome era.

A lot of those wrestlers are already gone. Plus there's not much from what remains. Nikki Cross had a title run but has music mostly been in tag teams or not really a big star, compared to Bianca, Sasha, Charlotte, etc. Lacey still active but was out for some time and isn't really main event level ready yet. And for the guys there's Ricochet and he was IC champ recently but for the longest was irrelevant or not being used properly. Even from more recent call ups, only big young star made might've been Bianca. Tho she's in her early 30s as well as madcap moss and riddle in his mid 30s so they got really young. Omos 28 so let's see how they use him next five years.
Theory may be an a$$hole and have an annoying character personality, but there really hasn't been anyone else built up in recent years. The titles are also to blame. Especially the combining of both championships and Roman being the top and practically only main guy at times. And the secondary titles not getting much respect. I know there have been plenty of ppvs where the ic or us title haven't been defended. Looking at some research, ic title was last defended on ppv at mania 37, big e vs apollo. And for us title, not much ppv matches in recent times either. They need to build more stars.

Naw bro Sammy was legit getting BOOED out of buildings, X-Pac heat and the TNT title picture suffered majorly because of it. You said if Theory was in AEW he wouldn’t be getting heat like this and I gave you an example of somebody who fits the criteria of an Austin Theory in AEW that was getting the same go away heat that Theory is getting right now.
