That was no list, Roy was pound 4 pound the best fighter, there was no number 2 or 3
there was never a list, that's something people made up in recent years

The term p4p always referred to one fighter, when you say he's the best pound for pound, there is only one

That's actually not factually accurate son. Ring Mag started p4p rankings in 1989.

And the term p4p has always been a term used in combat sports period as a ranking system of who the better fighters are relative to their weight, i.e. adjusted to compensate for weight class. To that end, ranking fighters on a list 2-10 doesn't negate or impact whoever is ranked #1 on said list. And the boxing community as a whole has been embraced having "top 10" rankings. Now, I know we live in a world with fakes news, subjective facts, and unsubstantiated beliefs, but the reality is there's been p4p lists for about 40 years now and there's nothing wrong with that imo, especially when you consider the inherent subjective nature of p4p anyways. Logically, if someone can be the best, someone else can be the second best. That's why they give out more than 1 medal at the Olympics.

No there was not, they didn't start talking about p4p list to money mayweather era

who was number 2 then if Roy was number 1 lmao

That doesn't even make sense, if you know the history of pound for pound and where you came from you wouldn't say such things

Nobody had p4p list in the 90s, they would say "insert fighter" is pound for pound the best in the world, that's it

this p4p list are made up media creations, there is no real p4p list

Again, not true. P4P lists been around for 40 years now.

& Oscar DelaHoya was actually #2 behind RJJ in 96 son.

But you are (kinda) right about one thing tho- p4p lists are made up by humans. And humans work in media. And the humans in media cover the sport of boxing. So even tho there is no definitive p4p list, in the boxing community there are reputable lists that many ppl in the boxing community respect and adhere to.

Canelo has better skills and a better resume. Titles in 4 different weight classes. And he's one fight away from being the first undisputed champion ever at 168. It's not even a debate to be honest.

I could see if canelo was slippin but dude is on the best streak of his career. Ran through the entire super middleweight division in a year's time. Don't see how a win over a guy who's one fight removed from getting knocked out by Andy ruiz is enough to leap over canelo. Especially when usyk himself was coming off two subpar performances before AJ.

The only debate is over who's number 2. Cause canelo got a stranglehold on number 1 right now. And that's not gonna change til he falls off. We in canelo's era now. Hate it or love it :yeshrug:
