Usyk beat everyone that mattered on his way to becoming Undisputed at CW. Did it all Away from home. No funny decisions. Off that alone he was HOF and top 5 P4P.

he looked kinda bad in his first 2 bouts at HW which knocked him down the list.

but beating - at worst - the 3rd best HW before him. Who has beaten pretty much every other HW 5-10. In such convincing manner has him Top 3 minimum.

Way above Bud.

Canelo has been in the limelight since 2012 or so, thats pretty much a decade and he ha several fights that made him a strong candidate. Usyk just arrived recently, he does not deserve the number 1 spot. We might as well have just labeled Ruiz a top 5 p4p for stopping Joshua is we let anyone in there. Usyk is top 3 but certainly not number 1...yet.
A lot of people act like Usyk didn’t become undisputed at CW. He took that in blood defeating the top guys.

Before Teo beat Loma, no list had Canelo top 5. They made it about Crawford and Loma even though Loma was facing nobodies..lol. Even though he refuses to fight Haney or Tank...He LOSES. Somehow..Crawford is no longer #1 or 2 and uts another pale skinned #1 p4p when he's ducking 3 guys that are the only perceived threats at this juncture..lol. Goal post moving. Bull$hitters. Chris Mannix is in love with Canelo...motherfukker would never rank a Spence or Crawford over him and he's facing flakes to get to the undisputed super middle title. Scust.

Ofcourse the "official" list is gonna have some form of bias in there. We as the fans know better. Canelo should have been in there for at least the last 3 years. Crawford no longer deserves to be mentioned because his resume is lacking from being Bob Arum's nut hugger. Spence deserves a spot too since he has been putting in the work. Make no mistake, Usyk deserves to be in the convo for his accomplishments, he put in the work and faught the best guys in their primes....but its a bit too early to jump him to the number 1 seat. If he unifies the division next year tho, Im afraid I would be left with no choice but to hand it to him :wow:

But we know that wont happen until 2024 or something

There is no such thing as an official p4p list, ESPN doesn't know anything about boxing

First of all there can only be one p4p there is no list

Secondly, a heavyweight can never be considered pound for pound

P4p isn't based on resume, it's based on skill set,

Usyk is a good boxer for his weight skill wise, he couldn't beat Shawn Porter in the amateurs he's not a better boxer than the smaller fighters skill wise, shawn porter is not a great technical fighter

he doesn't have p4p skills, if he fought at super middleweight Canelo would beat his ass that's not p4p

At the moment, I DONT think Usyk is now p4p #1. Canelo is still the pound for pound king and Usyk is #2. However if Usyk beats Joshua again in the rematch, that'll move him to the pound for pound throne, as that win will eclipse a Plant win for Canelo since obviously Joshua < Plant

Ok...most p4p lists magically put Canelo #1..uysk was ranked higher than him that entire time they had Loma and Crawford as #1..on all lists. Loma loses. Canelo leapfrogs everybody to #1 across the board? Lmao. They are definitely using that p4p consensus #1 fighter in all his intros now..so the gimmick is definitely working.

Loma is barely in the top 10. He, like Crawford, needs to beat a real body. Fury is in that #7-10 bracket...needs to fight again and he usually had the weight advantage..I'm not gonna credit him as p4p the best. Nah...he is the best heavyweight over the last 2 years though.

If Canelo beats plant, Andrade, and Benavidez, that's good enough for #1 for me. He cheated in the last 3 years and has faced flakes...he ain't #1 at all.

Ummmm what he has factually done is fail one test and beat all the champions in his current division except one. Not to mention the other champs he's beaten below and above his current division. Canelos def #1 obviously but Usyk is knocking on the door.

Loma went from featherweight to lightweight with 11 KOs outsized.

Fury is undefeated outboxed Wlad and licked the blood of Wilder off his body. He mauled Wilder like the bear did Leo in the Revenant.

AJ was doing a lot of dirty work in hindsight because of Fury being a a druggie that we gotta respect fought other champions that were undefeated and fought Wlad to become the psuedo lineal champion.

There is no list, there's only one p4p, ESPN reporters are boxing casuals, this is what happens when you let casuals dictate boxing to you

P4p is a single title for one person, there's never been a list

there can be only one p4p

Heavyweights are not included in pound for pound, when Evander Holyfield got all the belts from Buster Douglas after moving up from crusierweight, he was not considered p4p

p4p is for the smaller weight classes because they can't beat heavyweights because of the size difference not the skill difference

Loma was never a p4p type of guy he didn't have enough body of work which is why he easily dethroned because didn't earn that spot

Canelo has been at the top for a long time, he fought multiple generations of boxers, like Terrance Crawford, they are the only two guys who can be called p4p and you have to pick one, there is no 1, number 2 there is only one p4p
