the front office failed by not resigning landry at a reasonable price as they shouldve did with lamar miller and numerous other draft selections that they made over the years. you suppose to KEEP the talent you draft, not let talent walk away and rely on free agency to plug holes and be in the same predicament every 2-3 years. I know the Miami Dolphins, The Heat, The Marlins and even the damn Panthers...The Heat are by far the only franchise that does right by its fans. I cant disrespek this team or its vision, what happens will happen.
This wasnt meant to turn into a Dolphins debate.I will say that all the names you listed above have not performed better than they did in Miami.

Cant see how ya'll stay sane. The mere fact that we could be in the same or better spot than the Celtics is infuriating. Good thing I stopped paying attention around 2014 :smugdraper:

Realistically, what would be your moves for the next 2-3 seasons?

A lot of these nikkas about to turn casual too dont worry

bruh......you a hardcore fins fan...at least the heat will be in the playoffs.

Dolphins are trash but at least they can get out of bad contracts and keep they draft picks :FrancisWave:
I know the expectations have changed since but you guys are some ungrateful motherfukkers to be shytting on the team that should make the playoffs easily as it stands.

I remember back in the days when the Heat sucked and most would be happy for us to be at or above .500 on the season. Even if we didn't make the playoffs it would still count as a win because we won as many if not more games then we lost as an expansion team. Now that uncle Riley done got us a couple hits of that championship crack, all the sudden short of being a contender isnt enough.

Building a team is a process. I know we are used to the short process of just clearing cap space and letting Riley do his magic to bring us free agents. But sometimes you just got to do things the economical way and it also lasts longer when you build to the draft since you can have all of the bird rights for all the players. I'm still mad that we didn't give up fukking shytty ass Winslow's draft rights on draft night for all those pics the Celtics were offering but it is what it is at this point.

As for the Dolphins,:childplease: please stop:comeon:.
That team has not contended for a championship since I was I'll baby. And I'm probably the oldest motherfukker in this thread. Remember Ricky Williams never saw the playoffs as a Dolphin in his prime. NEVER. With all due respect to the GAWD QB Marino but did Marino ever even see an AFC championship game after 1985? :hhh:

I live in Atlanta which is a city with a shytload of transplants of friends from different cities all over it. When people be wearing their teams T-shirts end gear I want to wear my Dolphins gear and people would clown me and honestly I have no defense against it. shytty ass Falcons fans and shytty ass Saints fans and shytty ass Steelers and shytty ass Bucs fans all over the place laughing at our shyt.

Sorry breh I love the Dolphins but you lost all credibility when you tried to come in a thread of a team that's won 3 (could/should have been 5) championships in the last 12 years talking about the Miami fukking Dolphins

I never said anything negative about the Heat though:yeshrug:

Just said I haven't paid attention to the moves they've made since 2014 which is why I'm always asking questions in these threads.

Could care less about the team making the playoffs--the current roster's ceiling is possibly the second round. What's more important imo is our future which is another reason why I asked What's the plan for the next couple of seasons?

Develop young talent while we bide our team. Best case scenario is that Whiteside and TJ ball the fukk out so we’re able to move them for either an expiring and some picks to make space for one disgruntled star to consider us.

If we can’t move them for anything immediately, we’ll try it again when they’re expiring while letting our young talent develop. We have enough decent developmental pieces to start planning an identity with young cats like Winslow, Richardson, Bam, Derrick Jones Jr, and Vaughn. With other decent, relatively young talent in guys like Waiters and Olynyk, we’ll be a decent team in a weak conference but Warriors are running shyt right now and ain’t a damn move we could make to change that. We could have signed Lebron last night and still probably wouldn’t beat the Warriors so we playing the waiting game while we develop.

We see that there are insane moves that can be made when space is available and players get fed up so AINT nothing wrong with biding our time to clear some space.

I was just quoting everyone that was involved in that dumb exchange. :yeshrug:

The Dolphins are not worthy of anyone defending them at this point. It's cool for you to root for them (i do too) but the Dolphins are not the type of team that you can use talking about "At least the Dolphins have blah blah blah" like @Sauce Dab did when talking about a team like the Heat that has won championshipS since we were in HS.

Las time the Dolphins won a championship my older sister who's almost a decade older than me wasnt freakin born. Last time they appeared in a Superbowl i would have been a fukking child. Most experts are projecting them to win 5 fukking games. And you wanna come back at the Heat with "At least we have...". Nah, B. The Dolphins are not the type of team you can use in that comeback with against the Heat and not look silly.
It's all in fun but let's Talk like that to Orlando Magic and Hawks fans. Talk like that to Jets fans. Hell i could stretch it and talk like that to the Falcons fans that be in my face everyday talking shyt since they havent won shiit and blew their shot in record fashion. But at least they have been steadily relevant in the past 12 years which makes it a stretch but still i could say "at least the Dolphins have actual hardware in their history blah blah blah".

You typing up these long ass essays and not even understanding what I said. All I said was the Dolphins have draft picks. That's literally it. Nobody asked for the history of each Miami team

I'm talking about not trading away draft picks. Not draft picks that played for the Dolphins and eventually left. Off topic. Which former Dolphins are flourishing?

You're starting to sound like a Dolphins fan just reminiscing about the past. We're worried about the future of the Heat. Pat Riley just slapping rings down on a table from 5-10 years ago ain't getting these guys to sign

oh which ones? we can start with Jay Ajayi who just won a super bowl after the dolphins were tryna throw shade on his character via local beat writers lol not keeping quality talent that you drafted or trading away picks is the almost the same shyt lol

But you're old enough to remember them ring slaps, tho :sas1: YOu can "beat ya chest" and flaunt that on other NBA fans faces. What can you tell other NFL fans about our beloved Dolphins without them laughing at you?:skip:
