Sixers are being that the Heat's 2021 1st rounder is a lottery pick. That's why they have it up after they had already gotten their man.

Since wet get to keep next year's pick this might be the season for us to suck and get a top 7 pick next year

We’re not tanking and we got too many hustle players to tank properly, anyway. Guys like Dion and Dragic won’t ever be ok with throwing games. We a slightly above average team with a bunch of “never say die”, hungry players which is the worst kind of team to try to tank.

We’ll make the playoffs.

That useless run gonna haunt us for a while breh :francis:

‘Shrug’ this is a 20/20 hindsight thing. During the run, we all thought we had a chance in the playoffs (We we’re wrong) but we all thought we had a chance. It made sense, at the time.

This is like the Dragic signing. It looks extra awful now that we gave up two first round picks for an aging PG but we thought we’d have a healthy Bosh and we weren’t expecting Dragic to be our best player. We thought he’d be the 3rd or 4th option.

Just some bad luck with the Bosh injury and Pat scrambling after Lebron left.

Too much heart to quit and go for the high pick, too little talent to contend :francis:

Just checking in since we averted the crisis of moving a young player to cover for these other fukk ups :smugfavre:

I thought for sure there would be more trade activity across the league but teams seem too shook.

With Kawhi, Lebron, and the like available in FA...teams are trying to stay flexible but safe. Picks cost little money but can have a huge payoff in case Bron does wanna possibly come there. It’s why the active teams are the trash teams because they know they have no chance at landing Lebron anyway.

So what’s a successful season for us with where we at?

Hitting the playoffs? Waiters being healthy? Trading Whiteside or TJ? Winning a chip?

If Waiters is healthy and Bam improves, I’ll be content. I think our last two seasons describes us perfectly. A .500 win 1st round team that gets by on heart so my expectations are set.

Im not really buying the Kawhi noise but the other major free agents is the reason why I thought we might be active to clear space ahead of free agency (Whiteside, TJ, possibly Dragic). If it comes down to getting a commitment from somebody and then trying to make math work with a trade, other teams might not want to help us out..but still a couple of weeks before July.

Btw, assuming he isnt traded we can probably forget about locking up Winslow for cheap after tonight's fiasco. I wouldn't be surprised to see him bet on himself and price himself out.

:huhldup: Maybe they really are going to run this team back. I dont know if I can stomach Whiteside's pouting or TJ's chucking another year, if nobody else them boys got to go

Bolded. We need to prioritize getting Rich, Winslow, and Bam as many minutes and opportunities as possible to see what they all have. Waiters honestly should come off the bench in TJ's role, J-rich should start at 2.

I wanna see at least 3 of these things happen, otherwise it's gonna be a long ass year:
Spo stops fukking with Whiteside minutes and him going back to a DPOY candidate.
Waiters stays healthy and solidifies the 2 spot.
BAM making that leap.
TJ lives up to his contract (:laff:)
JJ goes back to his 2016 self.
Justise turns into Kawhi-lite.
A$AP Rich makes first or second team all defense.

If not it's still heat set ima fukk with em regardless this shyt is for life brehs:yeshrug:
