A new report says that Nikki Bella may return to WWE television in an authority figure role on Smackdown. According to the WON, Bella will be trying to get the job of Smackdown General Manager in the new season of Total Divas, which is set to premiere on Wednesday night.

Daniel Bryan is the current GM of the brand, though there is a lot of speculation regarding his WWE status as his contract runs out next year and he may leave the company in order to wrestle on the indies. WWE will not allow Bryan to compete in the ring due to health risks. Bella has been on a hiatus while she heals up from some long-term injuries. Her run on Dancing With the Stars came to an end on Monday after she was eliminated.

Bella being part of a storyling in Total Divas does not, of course, confirm that she will get the role. But WWE being okay with such a storyline on Total Divas may be a sign that they’re interested in exploring the idea.

Why let him reference every other promotion?

Why pay him to rest, heal, and stay in the loop on operations while he plans to wrestle elsewhere?

He's growing his hair out for a hair vs. mask match in Mexico :mindblown:

He's getting the Macho Man treatment, brehs.

Bryan is gonna make a whole of m9ney no matter what. WWE or not. If a lower star like AJ got by making very good money, Bryan is gonna be paid through the roof because he was becoming wrestlings new big draw. Ever since he went down...the WWE ain't really been the same as far as ratings and attendence is concerned. Cena and Lesnar couldnt even cut it. Nor could the Bryan replacements known as the Shield. People will PAY TO SEE BRIAN DANIELSON on the Indys like never before.
