Expounding on the bolded...it seems like you have a point.
This new generation of black folks seems to embrace multiculturalism without embracing their own culture. I guess that's what happens when you grow up in a society where very few people like yourself own their business, teach schools, are pillars in the community, etc. They are so used to associating, working for, doing business with, and giving their money to non-blacks that the idea of doing all of the above with black people seems weird to them. To this day, I don't even know why black folks continue to push for more integration when it's painfully obvious with all of the roadblocks the dominant white society has put on (legal, political, social, economic) black people throughout the years that they don't want to integrate with us and have done very well segregating their own neighborhoods, businesses, economies, etc.
Black people move into their neighborhoods, they move out of them.
Black people get hired at their jobs...they put quotas in place so there aren't too many of us (cause they don't want us there).
Black people occupy certain spaces (businesses, parks, etc) that are usually reserved for them...they complain and call the cops.
YET black people STILL wan't to co-exist with these people when it's obvious we can't co-exist with them cause they don't want to co-exist with us.
The same people who burned down communities like Tulsa, Black Wall Street, Rosewood etc..
