Like maybe a petition or call on the united nations etc probably stupid ideas but I'm just trying to find a way we can make it happen

Countries affected in ww1 got theirs and the Jews, Certain Native American clans and Japanese Americans who were held in camps during the war

I think the study that John Conyer's (sp?) is trying to put together seems to me the most logical step. We can't appeal to whites sympathy/empathy because for the most part they have none due to the fact a large majority of them are in decent positions socially and economically. The only way to make a case for reparations is to come with facts gathered from hard data. Recently I've become more interested in what Ta'nahesi Coates (sp?) has been talking about with the housing discrimination aspect and think it will play a pivotal part in providing the data needed in Conyer's study. I also believe we need a significant amount of blacks on the same page, to get behind it and get the message out to those who aren't aware yet.

There has to be a legal way for it to happen as well if we bring the issue to a worldwide forum where every country in the world hears out our case it could force the hand of the US to pay us for what they did as they promised

I don't want equality that's a pipe dream I want our reparation so more black people can start our own ecomony and practice exclusion

Imagine what the avg pro black men out here could do if they just had the money for it. Most of us aren't sellout its just the Oprah's and Tyler Perry are a very small few compared with the majority of black people who are middle class or very poor

Man if I had the money i would make our own blackwalmart, our own black shipping company so we could cut out the white man when trading with other countries. Have our own black CNN and MSNBC on television not just the internet where we hire our own people fresh out of highschool also our own private school's black militant teachers teaching real black history everything funded and owned by us

And unless you intend to throw the first stone then it's not even worth mentioning. Black people as a whole need to get off the reparations shtick and get in where they fit in.
