Lol dumbing music down is how you make hits. I honestly never liked that song or that era of r kelly but I won't front on his 90s catalog he built up and the writing for others though.

R.Kelly got WAAAY more mega hits than duds, and WAAAY more mega hits than D'Angelo got.

If we go classic song for classic song, R.Kelly would lap D'Angelo without us even naming any R.Kelly he kept for himself. Meanwhile, a good amount of D'Angelo's catalogue is remakes.
