I think DiCaprio refuses to play the Hollywood media and politics game. From what I hear and read about the Oscars, it seems there's a lot of sucking up and kissing ass that happens with these Hollywood types. Pushing agendas and such. He doesn't seem like the person who does all that. Then again this is all speculation on my part.
But he most definitely deserves it in my eyes.

Nah he's done it breh. When you're doing the interviews, showing up at all the awards ceremonies, etc that's what it entails.
